  1. In the US last week and the car rental place gave us the offer of an upgrade to a Hummer. Why not I thought. I must say it's one of the worst things I have driven, it feels like it weighs about 10 tons yet has a lawnmower engine. Suspension should be super smooth on something like this but driving over a pebble made my head hit the roof and bite me tongue. Oh and it did about 10mpg. What a load of rubbish.
  2. Moan moan moan. You lot should just get on with living your own lives instead of peeping and bitching about your neighbours. So what is someone has a new kitchen. So what if someone else has a paved driveway. Just get your head down and live your life the way you want to. Bitterness, jealousy and keeping up with next door (employed or unemployed) is a waste of time and energy and should not make a blind bit of difference to how YOU want to live YOUR life.
  3. Near the old railway line... anyone here?
  4. Reminds me of withnail and I meet star wars
  5. WTF is wrong with everyone. Each and every one of my 5 work colleagues (both men and women) has some kind of food allergy or dietary requirement. Nobody eats bread or wheat products, half of em are veggy, they won't eat something that has 'nasty chemicals' etc etc. The list and the moaning goes on and on. Then they complain they're always hungry, and just when they go on about their 'healthy lifestyle' they pop out for a cigarette!! None of em is overweight yet they are all on diets. In this day and age people are living longer than ever, so they can't claim that unhealthy food is shortening their lifespan. I just don't get it. I eat anything and everything (in moderation!) cos that's what's my mum taught me, and I think I'm the healthiest out of the lot of em. Bunch of fannies. Rant over thank you.
  6. GVN are 9 miles away in Chiswick
  7. Remove to WHERE? Japan isn't a very big place!
  8. Some eye-opening pics here, use toggle to scroll across: Before and after
  9. Yes, if you're an arty farty guardian reader
  10. I'm off to Japan in a few weeks. If my missus will let me. I was watching the videos on youtube. The tsunami took 3 secs to obliterate one of the polytunnels in the field. If they are 100m long then that means about 70mph. Utterly horrific if you're on the ground, and you can see people watching from roads and rooftops right there. My mate in Tokyo says earthquakes are normal and he shrugged the whole thing off.
  11. As someone on the thread said: "Cast wheels are brittle due to the manufacturing process of the wheel. forged wheels have the metal grain structure intact and is the strongest method of forming any metal component" Some scary pics on there!
  12. I'm thinking of the same thing, edging towards an Audi 2.7 Tdi but they aren't too cheap

    HTC Mobile

Several months ago I got an HTC Desire on the advice of this forum and I'm very happy with it, there's even a sticky somewhere with a long list of apps. You can't go wrong IMO

    Charlie Sheen

Hero or villain? I can't make up my mind!
  15. No I haven't posted it before
  16. Yes as % increases go even the small increases make the petrol increases look tiny by comparison
  17. Dunno if this has been posted before but have a look from 21mins 6 secs there's a nice orange Supra making it's way across screen, possibly on the A2? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPBf5pczzpM&list=SL
  18. Just paid 87p a litre. When I first got the LPG car a few years ago it was 50p. So an increase of 74% in 3 years I know everything is on the up, I'm just hoping LPG won't go how diesel has gone and soon be more expensive than petrol. I'm already seriously considering changing to a diesel commuter car now as the benefits of LPG appear to be dwindling.
  19. What do you do with them? I can't see them being flogged off in a pub or a car boot. Perhaps they were after the copper
