No it hasn't gone too far and I am not afraid to speak on this which is an important issue to me, even if it's a laughing matter to everyone else, and therein lies my point. Manning had his moments, he made some very funny jokes that I laughed at myself (like that hunting one somebody posted earlier) but the racist stuff leaves me cold. Why did a talented funnyman have to resort to such stuff? He was nothing but a bully, making jokes at other peoples expense. Eddie Murphy on the other hand, has made some jokes by laughing AT the bullies, ie white people, and that is how he can get away with it, while Manning can't. There is tons of funny stuff in this world which doesn't have to resort to racism to make people laugh.

So racist humour is ok then? Yes or no, let's keep this simple

And the 'thin skinned' people you refer to are often the minorities who have put up with racial abuse all their lives. Abuse is abuse, whether it's said with a smile and a wink by someone like Manning, or on the end of a boot with a skinhead at the other end of it.
