  1. I'm just a pedant who likes a rant every now and then. Perhaps I will lock horns with the mighty Jake one day.
  2. Yes I can and I have a B at English O level to prove it. It's very easy to call some of our members "back stabbing gutless wankers", then call on some lame get-out phrase like 'this is just an overview" so you don't have to name names. That's like small print bullshit you get at the bottom of contracts. Just because you wrote it doesn't mean it has to be accepted!
  3. Care to name names? Or don't you have the guts
  4. Use that up-your-post-rate time-waster Mallets mallet
  5. You have to register to see those links?!
  6. Which means poor old whifbitz and/or phoenix will get even more work, which means they can't cope, so they will cut corners, which means they will end up doing a turbofit Maybe not
  7. yes what's the difference in power gain between a half decent fmic and a good smic (CW for instance)
  8. Carlos you joined the same time as me, even have the same car as me! But do your 3x as many posts mean you are more expert than me? (Well you probably are, but that's besides the point)
  9. what is the heirarchy for the User Titles?
  10. Is anyone interested in a convoy going up from london area?
  11. I think most of us pay between 500 - 1500 for supra insurance, on cars valued between say 5000 - 15,000. So does that mean for a lambo say worth 100k, insurance would be about 10k? Or more?
  12. It might also help young drivers to be safer if they had to watch a video like before they were free to drive on the roads
  13. As a driver of over 20 years on practially every road you can imagine in many countries, in all weathers etc etc etc, by far the most technical and difficult roads to drive on are inner city streets. With pedestrians, bikes, cars, buses and the ridiculous amount of signs, lanes, one-way systems, crossings these days etc etc there's almost a sensory overload at every moment. Especially in rush hour, when it's raining. And dark. And you're in a hurry. Put a 17 year old driver in that situation and you have a problem. Do the same when he's got his mates in the back, egging him on and it's just a matter of time. Sorry mate but country roads really are a piece of piss! What are these 'huge amount of hazards' you refer to?
  14. Yes but one rotten apple spoils the barrel, and there are a lot of rotten 17 years olds around, as the road accident stats prove Yes and that's why experience is everything! IMO 17 is too young for a car, especially a high performance one. Perhaps it'll teach you that when you do drive around a town - which you will one day - then you won't have a crash!
  15. Ouch! Not something I'd want to see in slow motion
  16. If anything they should raise the limit for use of cars of a higher insurance group to over 21s. At the moment a 17 year old can drive any high performance vehicle and that's where much of the problem lies
  17. This time it was 1pm-ish today (Monday) north Acton area of A40, v. sleek v. nice all black, kitted
  18. The cat's really out of the bag now. How many more TF horror stories are yet to appear? I think everyone who has had any work done there (myself included) - no matter how minor - will be booking their car in soon somewhere for a thorough check over
  19. In the Turbofit thread a lot of people have been advocating the DIY route and avoiding 'dodgy tuners' altogether. So much for that!
  20. Sorry to hear that Sabrina, hope nothing bad went on I know James has had a lot of car problems, Turbofit did a lot of the work on it... connection?
  21. Which is exactly why I'm stopping at bpu!
  22. That black Soarer looks superb. So did the silver. Much respect.
  23. Go Lewis! Another one under the belt
  24. I'm on our roof terrace which is scorching. Can of beer, paper, music. Nice.
