Thanks to a suggestion from JamieP I've upgraded my CCW wheels by adding a wider lip to the rears, and put the old rear lip on the front. A refurb from Ibrar @ Speedwells (who else?!) and they look spanking new Arches rolled by Chazz @ Arch Enemy so now we have super wide 315/30/18 rear and 275/35/18 front More pics when I get a mo

If it were my son buying a car there is no way I'd let him in a Supra, not even an n/a. High performance cars are a death trap for young people, especially those with just one year experience on the road. At 18 you have another 50+ years driving ahead of you. What's the rush? Get some years behind you, on normal roads, with normal cars, first. There are too many dead and maimed teenage drivers out there, and plenty of innocent people have been killed or maimed by teenage drivers too. Classic example here

I'd say a FMIC is always better than a SMIC but only if properly ducted. There's a great thread on this forum somewhere where someone did some DIY ducting and measured the before/after temps and it worked a treat. So if you're not prepared to do proper ducting for a FMIC, then a CW SMIC will do fine for BPU. Whitesupra95 - you need to learn how to relax.

I just got some BC coilovers and asked Lee SRD the same question, no need for the top mounts for street use was the answer, so I went for that and I'm very happy with how they are. Not much of an answer but I think fastcar and swampy242 say it better.

Swirls and paintwork aren't that much of a problem, I had a full respray just 2 years ago so the paint isn't that old. It's the gaps crevices and corners that need some attention ie 'details' Peter if I lived in Wales there would be no need for this thread Dan pm me details if you want

I'm gonna treat my car to some detailing work. I've never had it done before, but as the car is now nearly 20 years old there are a few bits of long term grime getting into the crevices that I want out before small animals start making nests. I was looking online and the prices vary massively, from £25 - £250+ so my question is 1) does anyone have any recommendations for the South Oxfordshire area and 2) what is a realistic price to expect to pay for a half decent job?

No particular reason for posting this, but after 10 years ownership I've recently 'upgraded' from auto to V161 manual and it's brought a new lease of life into Supra ownership which has made me very happy. Finally got the BC coilovers sorted (thanks to SRD, who also did the conversion) and a few other things and driving home from work tonight on a Friday evening has put me in a good mood. I don't know if it's simply because I'm getting the hang of using the new clutch now it's starting to get worn in, or simply the fact that the road home was empty from start to finish, or just the sound of the engine when I change gear, it doesn't matter I'm just looking forward to the next 10 years, and I have a few (modest) plans already.

Is there a table that shows comparison info for exhausts? ie weight, noise level, size, price band etc I haven't seen one so if someone can show me that would be grand. If there isn't one, does anyone have the time to make one up? There are tables available for all kinds of other things so perhaps one that compares exhausts would be useful

When you checked did you make sure each connection was super tight? And that there were no splits or holes in the pipework? I agree with the above it does sound like a leak in the system.

Call Gordon at Hythe Motorcare 07930 313494, they are based in NW10. They sorted out some old bumps and did a full respray which 2 years on I am still VERY happy with.
