Well I thought it was a rabbit lying dead in the road, I approached it at speed and in the dark so I couldn't be sure. With about a second to react there was a big bang as it hit my underside. Must have been a lump of metal?!?! Apart from the odd dent, could there have been any proper damage?

Fedex have to pay the import duty on your behalf when they import the goods, so they will be keen to get it back from you asap, meaning you will have a COD when they deliver. Express means Monday or Tues at the latest!

If it was sent through the post it´s anybody´s guess esp considering the post strike, but if it´s through a courier just 24 hours, and you can expect a COD

Unless you're doing 120+ it apparently has little effect. Personally I have never had a problem at speeds up to 160+, and I have been spolierless over 3 years

I have yet to see a cleaned up rear end with no badge, spoiler, wiper etc that has not been oooed and aaahhed at by this board. Very few people have done it, but you can't go wrong with that look IMO

Sounds like you're going about it sensibly with your eyes wide open, so go for it. I hope you get a well-behaved one, buying a dream car that turns out to be a wrong un can't be much fun.
