Just managed to get it started after a few attempts. It will only idle for a short time before cutting out and is lumpy above 4000 revs. At least I should be able to drive it to the garage. But for now at least it's somewhere safe indoors

Thanks guys. I thought it might be a case of getting under the car. It's going to have to be a trip to the garage then as I don't have the facilities to do it. Thanks for the link Scooter I'll get them to check the timing wheel first.

I tried to start the car this afternoon with no joy. After checking the diagnostic codes it's showing error 12. I want to try replacing the crankshaft position sensor first. My question is. How easy a job is it to do? Can you get access to it from the top of the engine? or does the car need to be lifted to get at it from underneath?

Just in the process of changing from Sky, who quoted me close to £800 for the renewal to Admiral as part of a multicar policy we already have, and the premium has dropped to £304 for a year. Pretty decent price for an import with all the mods declared.

After six years of ownership it's time to sell. So here goes.. For pictures taken with in the last few days. Please click here 1993 J-Spec TT Auto. Approx 130,000 miles of which I have done 70,000 miles. Taxed until the end of August 2010 and MOT until March 2011. Toad AI606 alarm system. Limited slip differential. Factory fitted Bilstein shock absorbers. Hybrid turbos fitted in Autumn of 2007. Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust. Apexi air filter. Front strut brace. Exterior 18" BK993 Wheels, gunmetal spokes with stainless steel rims. Bought in January 2009. Avon ZZ3 tyres 265/35 ZR18 on rear and 235/40 ZR18 on front. Approx 2000 miles from new. Stock body. Interior Blue dash light conversion Cobra Misano S front seats with Bride subframes. Bought new last Summer. Momo GTR 2 Steering wheel. Bought new last Summer. Defi Basis head up display (Speed or Revs projected on to windscreen). Apexi Rev Speed Meter. Mounted in roof headlining. AEM Air fuel ratio Gauge. Mounted in clock hole (Needs wiring connected). Pillar mounted boost gauge. Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD Double din touch screen audio/video system. Bought new in June 2009. The body work on the car is in very good condition. There are a few slight marks but nothing major. There is a small crack in the spoiler near where it joins with the boot but I think it would repair fairly easily. I really have enjoyed owning this car, but I have been using it less and less since the winter of 2008. And it seems a bit excessive to have it as a third car. It's only been driven two or three thousand miles since then, so it's time for someone else to enjoy it as much as I have.
