  1. My entry is in did a run at Elvington a few weeks ago got 11.1 @137 on the 1/4 and 168 over 1/2 mile. should improve on that sill have some in reserve.
  2. Sorry Jamie just checked my diary I have something on I can't get out of, good luck anyway.
  3. Sounds good I will need to do some work on the exhaust but should be ok. I will get my entry in and paid asap.
  4. Nice one we are going tomorrow hope its dry, did you get many runs in?
  5. Should be there Sunday if weather looks ok, fitted a wing so be usefull test day.
  6. May hve a go if I can get the noise down it was 104 @ TOTB with the baffle in may have to make a new baffle.
  7. Looked at weather forecast and decided not to make the trip down there is a RWYB day at York dragway in October will have a go there if its dry. Good luck with your next meet.
  8. Thanks for your advice on the day Kevin. You're right the top speed run was there for the taking I could not go over 162 due to the back of the car snaking. We did some work on the front aerodynamics that worked well the steering was well weighted all the time but we had on rear wing or diffuser. I dont think there was enough weight over the rear wheels to put the power down, it just pushed the rear of the car from side to side. I had to turn the boost down to 1.5 bar and take it easy on the throtlle, power was not an issue had masses in reserve. I have ordered a big rear wing and we are designing a rear diffuser, that should sort it. Did 11.77 on the 1/4 mile @ 1.7 bar but could not get off the line my best 60 ft was 2.17. If I had put race fuel in and upped the boost may shaved a bit off. Any way learned more and lived to fight another day.
  9. Thanks Kevin I know Elvington does not have the grip just see how it goes. Good luck with your car its top spec.
  10. Tickets and rregs arrived this week just doing odd jobs on the car trying to improve aerodynamics not had it above 130 so hope its ok. Will be there Sat AM, How is Dude doing with his car?
  11. Thanks for positive comments guys. The track at York had been prepped we launched the car @7500rpm no hint of wheel spin just satdown and went. I don't think radials will give as much grip off the mark, I have a pair of part used 325/50/15s from Kevin Huntley so we will se how they go at Elvington. We will probably use wrinkle walls at Supra pod.
  12. Time from York raceway today: 11.07 @130.82 60ft 1.5949 Toyo drag sliks 30.0 x 10-15w, BP ultimate @ 1.5 bar. Only got 2 runs in when we swtched ecu to 1.7 bar launch control came in @4500rpm and we could not get it to turn off. We are new to setting and adjusting the Solaris so probably missing some part of the procedure. Its a poor time in relation to the cars potential but 60ft times are getting much better.
  13. The weight of the car is 1380kg a bit more than I expected but not bad, it's built to be strong so some of the components are heavy.
  14. Thanks feel better about leaving it overnight if some one is around. I haven't driven the car in anger this year yet so need to get some practice in, it will be a shock after my Yaris.
  15. Thanks dude I will get on with sorting tyres, will be there Saturday and Sunday only about 1 hr away so may leave car over night.
  16. Thanks Dude, Kevin I will pm you about the radials. Thanks
  17. Anyone know if you can use 15" rims with drag radials for 1/4 mile and change to road wheels/tyres for other two parts or do you have to use same wheels tyres for all three parts? Emailed the organisers but not had a reply as yet.
  18. Thanks guys, I think it's the most highly tuned VVTi in the UK. The Solaris runs the VVti as it should be done and there are aftermarket cams available so we may see more high power VVTi cars. The VP import is high octane not sure on figure but must be around 119 the car stops making power before it starts to det and takes 10 degres more timing than BP Ultimate. Should be at Suprapod if all goes to plan.
  19. Put me down will have some times well before TOTB. 818hp 673lbft @ hubs. Will do both days.
  20. Not had a chance to get it on the road yet, sohuld be out this weekend will let you know how it goes.
  21. Thanks Lee at AET it made peak torque of 557 @ 6000 rpm it now does 550 @ 4700 rpm and peak of 673 @ 5000.
  22. No nitrous just on turbo, we have the nitrous set at 150 shot should give around 200hp and a good 200 lbft but we will see how it goes on the turbo. Congratulations on your times your car is going well as always.
  23. Boost was 2 bar I think, the turbo could give more boost but power did not go up so that is the limit the motor can flow with these cams. Its a balance between peak power and low spool. Its time to get the car to the track and run it, sort out launch and getting the power down engine play time is over for now.
