  1. For sale I have a full set of jdm calipers and pads, removed from my car when I replaced them with the turbo model(as the jdm brakes didn't offer what I was after in terms of braking and I wanted the painted finish) The rears look like they have been refurbished (they commonly get painted that gloss black from the refirb companies) which i believe was done just before i brought the car in late 2022. The fronts could use the same treatment. I also have a set of disks but I'm not sure 100% if they are front or rear, I had them on the car for a short time until I swapped them for the turbo ones, they are in good condition - you can't feel a lip on them just have abit of surface rust from being stored. They were placed by SRD into the front disk boxes and returned to me so I would assume they are fronts. Looking for around 350ono for the lot Deel free to drop me a message Facebook advert here, will likely respond faster https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/409205235068208/
  2. Hey @Goga , i have rear seats that are in blue leather that i brought a while ago from Keron - i used the fronts and had them reupholstered. Feel free to drop me a message https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/970696868077276
  3. sounds like it probably got into a space where it was low enough to hiss then. Ive ordered a new evap valve and condenser so lets hope the leak in in one of those !
  4. No problems @rider , its weird though because like i say the ac shop vacuum tested and filled the system, before it was regassed, or after, there was no noise at all. Then it just stopped working, still no noise, then 3 days later whenever its turned on and you are at idle RPM you get the hissing from the glove compartment area. Its booked into the ac shop so will report my findings soon!
  5. thanks @Burna, im taking it to an AC shop to do some proper diag on it as ive only had the local garage who can only regas look and they said it might be a hole in the condenser as there are black spots on it which is supposedly what the refrigerant looks like when it comes out. but if it is the condenser at least i can get one! thanks! p.s i never had the issue before but when the ac is running there is a major hissing noise from the glovebox. Wasnt happening when it was empty of gas, when i had it refilled or shortly after it stopped working again. But now for some reason its crazy when the ac is on. Wondering if anyones had the evap valve do this before and it might be that?
  6. Im after one as well but cant find any stock anywhere now!
  7. to be honest the base of the seat forward and back is the main on that dies right, so then u can use a 10mm / 12mm socket to move the seat forward and back pretty easy, i know it sucks but its not too bad. From the disassembly ive done it would seem that you could swap the rails over. but youd be stuck with regards to the leaning angle of the chair, youd have to keep all the seat controls for that.
  8. i believe hes talking about the big plate that redirects the airflow to the duct on the back cylinders
  9. Hi Guys, To anyone else who comes here in search of help repairing their seats, i attempted this repair recently and learnt two things and thought id make a note of them here.. 1) replacing this cog as shown here, controls just one rail at the bottom of the seat, so you can learn how broken your seat is by unbolting it and then turning it on its side and using the controls, and then seeing if either side moves, you may have one side broken, or both (as in my case). This guide covers repairing the easier to get to outer rail on a RHD car. 2) For me in my JDM MK4, each rail is driven by a spiral rod which is turned by the motor, but each seat rail had a different sized spline which went into each motor. The cog replaced in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtymRSb7WkA is 26tooth gear where the inner spline diameter that goes inside it is (driven from the motor) is 11mm. For me in my JDM car the diameter of the spiral rods one side (the outer side) is just 6mm with a different spline pattern so this cog would not work. The other side (the side touching the handbrake) matched, so i could have repaired 1/2 of my seat rails with the part shown in the video. There is no replacement cog i have found for this 6mm spline. You could at best use the OEM part you remove (which is basically a metal cylinder with a cog pressed onto it) and order a press on plastic cog from gamiviti (google this) I attempted this but the plastic cogs did not hold, i suspect i installed them wrong. There is a company in Australia which sells these parts with metal cogs pressed on https://shop.powerwin.com.au/Power-Seat-Track-Gears-to-fit-various-Toyota-models-p95623977 You will note lower in the product description it says : WARNING: We have seen twice before a smaller shaft diameter of approx 6mm for this type we can assist as a in house repair. Send us your gear set." I will be sending my metal center gear sets out to them to press a gear onto both of the shafts, the one with the inner spline diameter of 11mm (which i could replace with a toyota land cruiser part as per this video) and the shaft with the inner spline diameter 6mm. Im not sure why Toyota on some supras (mine is prefacelift, so might have something to do with it, and JDM) chose to have each rail driven by virtually the same mechanism but at one side the spiral ends at a 6mm shaft and the other a 11mm shaft.
  10. unfortunately not , i just have a reproduction scoop. Someone recommended me a grill from a hilux which seems to match the oem but its slightly bigger, so i ordered that and im going to see if i can retrofit.
  11. Hi All, i have recently purchased a bonnet with a UK Spec scoop but there was no mesh. Is anyone able to take measurements of the size of the holes on their UK spec so i can try to get ahold of some that matches? thanks
  12. Hi Guys, just tried to do a brake disc change today and noticed one of the pistons on the drivers side caliper is completely stuck. Ive had rebuilds recommended to me sold by SRD, but they show as out of stock. https://www.srdtuning.com/product-category/manufacturer/toyota-2/supra-jza80-2jz-gte-2/brakes-2/ The only play i can find them for sale is whifbitz but pretty expensive. Anyone have any leads on where i can find some? I want a pair. I dont have the tools and stuff required to do a rebuild myself unfortunately. https://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/toyota-1083.html
  13. thanks all. ill have another look at the toothed side and get some pics.
  14. Hi all! New owner here and not particularly mechanically minded. But thought I'd cracked the cam cover off and have a look. Belt looks OK but I noticed what might be a join or is someone able to tell me if it looks worn? https://imgur.com/a/KDQlJQH Thanks all!
