  5. I am quite interested in buying some hybrid turbos and have seen a set but they are off a jap supe http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=46185 Few Questions Will they fit mine or will i need a jspec manifold? Is the down pipe different will this then need changing? Will i have to change anything else to get these to run well? I currently have a full decat, Jasma exhaust, fmic, and an after market airfilter. Cheers
  6. I was having a simular prob with mine, sometimes when i kicked down the second turbo wouldnt come in. i changed the two pipe shown here and all semms to be well. might be worth a try. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=13928
  7. Sorry to hear that, think il probably still do the same and just keep my fingers crossed they end up better. I was mainly concerned about cracking the glass putting them in the oven, but if yours were ok then il give it a go. Cheers
  8. My headlights keep misting up when it rains or when i wash the car. Can you remove the glass in the same way as the jspec ones or are they sealed differently. Is the seal around the edge a pressure seal ie, the tighter you do the lights up the better the seal. I wouldnt mind taking them apart as some of the silver inside is going yellow and could do with touching up, just worried about cracking the glass. Anyone had the same prob? Cheers
  9. hey peeps can anyone tell me anywhere in the south that could make me some fmic pipework or anyone who sells a kit and the kinda price im gonna be looking at?? thanks

  12. Dude, Yeah it is the sensor just before the join for the cat back part, whats it do?
  13. Found the prob, there was a split pipe that i hadnt notice, but now replaced it now has that second surge of power. Tues il get the lug welded on the decat and il start saving for a boost controller. Cheers
  14. cheers gents, i have got a boost guage but i changed it while the car was off the rd having exhaust done, so il put my old 1 back on and see what that says, i was running 0.8 bar before. il reset my ecu and get a mate to fit that sensor, cheers
  15. Hi i have a uk auto with full decat pipe, colder spark plugs, and air filter and have just fitted a 4.5 inch cat back exhaust. Just got it fitted and been for a test drive and although it sounds amazing now it doesnt seem to have the power it had before. when the second turbo spun up before it would slightly snake and whack u back in the seat but this seems to have gone now. Could it be that when i fitted the decat pipe i left the little sensor that fits near the second cat out as the pipe didnt have a hole for it, or do i need to fit a boost controller.
  16. Found it and changed it, cheers
  17. Was changing the sidelight bulb today, when i touched the +ve and -ve spades its connected to together and i now have no sidelights or rear lights. All other lights seem to work ok. I found the fuse box in the engine bay (right hand side big black box) which i think contains the fuses for the lights but none seem to be blown. any ideas?
  18. Had the same prob with mine, it used to lock me out. Quite annoying. used to have unlock the car with the key, they alarm would go off, pop the bonnet, pull the plug off to the siren to stop me going deaf and stop everyone looking, then remove the negetive off the battery. after a couple of minutes when reconnected it worked fine. i used this problem as an excuse to have a clifford fitted with intellistart. now im a happy chappy with a nice warm car on these cold mornings.
  19. i had the same problem before christmas, the problem is def your starter motor, mine started off just clicking if the battery was slightly low but got worse as time went on regardless of how much charge there was. If you search there are 2 part numbers listed, i ordered them from toyota cost about £20, jacked the supe up and took the starter off, (not the easiest of jobs). Changed the old bits for the new ones and its as good as new now. toyota wanted about £240 4 another starter so very happy.
  20. soz to be a pain but ive read all the posts on starting probs and have ordered the 2 parts needed to fix the prob. ive got it up in the air and havent got the foggiest o how to get to the second bolt, presuming it is the bolt im looking at. the first 1 is awkward but the second i cant even touch let alone get a socket or spanner on. does anyone know of a step by step, or can give me any advice on how to. all help appreciated.. Cheers
  21. I bought a decat pipe for my uk supra, only prob is it didnt come with a hole for the lamber sensor after the second cat. Ive now fitted the decat pipe and have just cable tied the sensor to a secure place. the question is do i need the sensor in the exhaust, is it likley to run richer or leaner. now i have it fitted do i need to fit a fuel cut thingy. cheers
