  1. I have Blitz Nur Spec, TRL FCD, CW Down pipe and HKS mid de-cat pipe. I have hit 1.45 bar in the summer!
  2. Phil's right. I have stock TC and if the light is on permanently you just need to push the Slip Control button in and out again to reset it.
  3. Mate are you sure it isn't the boot stoppers? It is a well known rattle cause on the supe. :flame Dev
  4. OK I have fitted it. Just took it for a test run (uphill too) and only managed to max out at 15.8psi I am very much noticing the difference I will take it out for a few more blasts but feel I may have to ask CW if he'll take a couple of mm off the diameter to get it closer to 18.
  5. After exceeding 18 psi a few times now it is time to fit the restrictor plate. I hope I don't notice too much drop in acceleration. Still, better than running with two blown turbos. I would probably notice that drop in acceleration and the gaping whole in my wallet to fix em. :flame Dev
  6. Thanks guys. I better cancel my wheel balancing appt. on Monday then. Should save me a few quid that I can spend on wheel bearing, disks or balancing weights. Feels like a vertical vibration, not a horizontal one. Phil, I feel a visit to you coming on.
  7. Cheers John P. Not being a race car engineer what is brake run out please?
  8. Does anyone know if the wheel alignment geometry settings for a J-Spec are the same for a UK spec, probably not if they have different suspension set ups I guess. I reckon that when I take it to my garage they will only have the UK spec on their system so won't be able to align my wheels. My problem is when travelling at just over 100 electrons the steering wheel vibrates nastily up and down presumably coz that is what the front wheels are doing too. I have had different wheels fitted and balancing recently but the problem has stayed with me. How much should I be paying for 4 wheel alignment? Cheers
  9. Mate, that is a well funny observation about 'the passenger' suddenly stops talking when you boot it. I find that a lot. What I enjoy also is when they first get in the car and say "ooew it's an automatic" So when they are half way through saying, "I thought this was supposed to be a sports c........"............ then you put your foot down and they don't speak much after that do they.
  10. I have just fitted a pair of Goodyear F1's and they seem to be pretty damn good. I am also in the process of trying to get some Valvoline Synpower 5w50 as both of the above were recommended by many people here. Cheers:)
  11. I have Blitz exhaust, HKS mid pipe and CW down pipe. My max has been 21.4 psi (1.45 bar). I have just taken delivery of a CW restrictor ring to get pressure down to a less potentially catastrophic level. I shall be fitting it real soon before my turbo blades exit through my exhaust!
  12. I have a small tube but I think it is what you do with it that counts :flame Dev
  13. Cheers Phil, just fitting me new locking wheel nuts.
  14. Click below http://supra.highspeedhostinggroup.net/public_html/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2654&highlight=boost+gauge
  15. Anyone know what the torque settings are for the Jap Supes wheel nuts. Is it different if you don't have standard wheels? Cheers
  16. I would swap it for an after market gauge mate as I haven't heard good things about the toyota ones.

    Boot Rubbers

Dead right. I did mine on Sunday too. Eery silence from the rear. Trouble is now that the noise from the rear has gone I can hear the rattles from the dash.
  18. Cheers Paul take it easy
  19. For those that have done it.......is it just the bottom two bumpers that you replace or the top ones too? Getting a bit sick of driving around in a super car that sounds like a mini van

    Oil

Just a quick one guys. What is the best oil to put in the engine that I can buy at an everyday garage. Mine needs topping up. Is it 10W 30 or sumink? Thanks
  21. Hi mate hope things are good for you. Thanks for the info, I'm not worried about bigger I was more concerned with how small the widths can be as my local wheel shop don't do that many wide wheels. Take care - Justin
  22. Have you guys got 8.5's on all four wheels? Can someone explain to me why 8.5 is too small and 9.5 is ok for the rear? Does 1 inch make that much difference? (Ooh err missus) Is it too small as in imminent chance of death by crashing or just not recommended? For what reasons? Thanks for being patient with me as I don't know about this stuff yet. I am looking for a certain type of wheel and like the above guys I think they only come in 8.5's but I don't want to buy them if they are bad for my car. Cheers
  23. Scott are they the ACE 197's?
  24. As I bought the car with non stock wheels on could you tell me the stock widths. Thank you.
  25. Dear more learned than me people. Please can you give me your thoughts on these questions as it seems a little tricky finding wheels to fit a Supra in the UK. It is wheely important! 1. From what part of the wheel is the width measured? Is it outsides of rims or just inside where the tyre sits? I took my wheel off and it measured 11 inches across. Do they make 11" wheels or is it a 10"? 2. Is the PCD 114.3 mm with 5 studs on the J-Spec 3. If I get 18" wheels with 255 tyres on rear what is the max profile size I should choose? 4. Is it best to get a thinner width pair of front wheels say 9" front and 10" rears? 5. What is the thinnest width of wheel I can safely and comfortably choose? Thanks for your time. Justin
