  1. November 2003. Originally thought it was 2001 but I check my docs and the v5.
  2. I bought it in November 2003 from a company called JCI i think it was, down East Grinstead way. They went bust a couple of months after i bought it. I remember shortly after i needed new suspension and a few other bits and i couldn't get it done on the warranty because they had shut up shop! Anyway i done some research and found a local garage to me who specializes in Japanese cars. I took it there to get the suspension replaced and Ive taken it back ever since for all my service work and any time anythings gone wrong. Ive always been well looked after there and will definitely continue to take my cars to them in the future. Im sure the guys at the garage would be willing to talk to any buyers to let them know whats what. After i got the original problems sorted, over the years there hasn't been to many problems really. Apart from the usual consumables ive had the turbos replaced, i've still got the originals in the garage so they would come with it for reconditioning. Ive replaced the ECU which burnt out when i got stuck in deep gravel in the first year i had it. Ive definitely had a clutch done about 4 or 5 years ago. Ive had the radiator replaced recently. Ive had 2 front brake calipers replaced as the pistons kept sticking out. This was mainly a problem which happened after periods of not driving it for a while. Ive had it so long that its hard to think of everything but i really havent had many issues. Its never been on a track an I will go through the bills at the weekend and see if i can find anything i forgot.
  3. Thanks rider, I'm not looking to rip anyone off but I'm also not looking to give it away so any opinions to where it sits are most appreciated.
  4. Bloody hell that is an expensive regas! If the car isn't worth that I am open to offers but it's a solid example and given its history I would have thought it would be worth more than usual? I'm genuinely interested to hear people's opinions. I've had it since 2001. The milage being in km originally is annoying as it artificially raises it, although not by much. I'm not sure if it makes much difference but the milage I've put on it has been 80% motorway, I used to commute 38 miles each way to work but since moving offices I don't get the chance to dive it any more. Combined with moving house sadly it's got to go:(

  6. Yea ive got all of the bills, service sheets MOTs etc all together, its always been serviced at the same garage, when i mentioned it to them they said they wouldn't have any problem talking to potential buyers through all that they've done over the years. I would more than welcome an independent inspection. Thats if i sell of course
  7. This gives me something to think about because I never knew it was worth that much! i was thinking maybe half that.
  8. Thankyou. Its a lovely car. The clock had 51,000 (i think) when i first picked it up, the garage i bought it from said the kms had been converted into miles but thats going on their word.
  9. Hi guys, sorry if this is in the wrong section, i wasn't sure if it should be in the for sale bit. Ive not quite decided yet, but im thinking of selling my N reg 96, J-Spec TT manual and i was just wondering how much you would say i could get for it? ive had it since 2003 on a fresh import and its got full service history over the 13 years ive had it. If its needed anything ive always had it done. Its currently got 204,000 miles on the clock. Its just had a fresh respray in black, everything working perfectly apart from the air con needed a regas and a few leds on the dash for the heater need replacing. Its more or less standard, apart from a couple bits.
  10. Wow, finally one with more miles than mine:D ive got 203k on m J-spec and it still drive like the day i bought it (10 years ago 51k). Its had alot of work over the years and been looked after by the same garage. I think if you take care of them, the Supra is good for and incredible amount of miles
  11. 10 years checking in! Had a respray and the wheels changed from gold to black to celebrate. Main reason for the wheel change was fed up of cleaning them:D
  12. Hi guys, im struggling with this, i need to jack it up to fit a front lip, but i cant get a jack under the side because the skirts are to low and the jack hits the car before it touches the jacking point on the side, i also cant get the jack under the car to get to the front cross member because the sides are to low, if i go in from the front i wont be able to get the jack out because the front will be to low.. anyone got any MacGyver ways to do this?
  13. Mines on 180,000 at the moment, turbos replaced at 130,000 with slightly newer ones that had 75,000 on them
  14. 173,000 miles on mine, runs as good as the day i got it, 53,000
