  1. I've had a few scares with my RLTC, even on wet, back end went west the other day whilst I was cruising past an Audi TT (my suspension id fine). Did you deffinitely have the stock turned off!
  2. I have TomTom for my mobile phone (identicle system to tomtom go)... I have a small GPS receiver the size of a mobile mounted on the plastic shelf near the rear seat belts, this connects via Bluetooth to my phone which I have mounted on the driver sun visor, it looks very neat and does the GATSO, Sat Nav job perfectly! You will of course need an Xtrac 2 GPS receiver £50, Maps+Mem Card £30 and compatible phone i.e Orange SPV 500.... All in all not bad for £80... Nothing hanging from the dash either
  3. Cheers Chris for the great job (once again), I had a REALLY enjoyable drive home.
  4. I've just fitted a set of technics hybrids, my car is UK spec in top condition, IK24, FCD, Bleed valve, full decat 3'' pipe, TRD air filter. When I boot her she hits and holds (quite easily) 1.45 bar which is quite worrying (even with the bleed valve completely closed). I dont really understand this. Another friend has exactly the same problem on his UK spec after fitting hybrids. I'm taking her to C.W tomorrow to have his SMIC fitted and a closer look at the boosting, may need to have a restrictor ring fitted. I know this is standard practice on the Jspec after BPU, but is this normal on a UK? Cheers

    Headlight Washers

Anyone know the part codes for the headlight washer attaching bracket, mine was knocked in a car park need a new one!
  6. On the headlight washer there is a metal clasp that keeps it attached to the bumper from behind, someone nudged me in a carpark the other day and it popped through the bumper. Couldnt get it back through, amazing it didn't split the bumper really! I'm having my bumper of soon, seems like a good time to refit the proper metal bracket. Anyone know the part code? Cheers
  7. Just wondered, is there additional heating around the bulb as a result of the increased light intensity, this may not be the case at all but I was concerned that this might cause the plastic housing, chrome effect finish to tarnish faster and need repair?
  8. I don't know whether you have this solved, I lost mine 6 months back, I changed a tyre on a dark night and lost the lock nut. A friend who is a mechanic got all four off in about 5 minutes by wacking them with a huge hammer and a tool he had (as above). It was "terrifying" to watch, but it was literally one smack each, no damage done at all (the nut just split in half), had the aligment check later, spot on. Anyway..... Another way if you know a garage that does welding is to have a bar welded onto the nut (so you can turn it), apparently this works too.
  9. A friend has recently spent a small fortune on his car in repairs, any help would be much appreciated with this problem. After 20 mins of driving something weird happens to the car, whilst the car stationary (e.g. at traffic lights) the revs die down and the engine cuts off. This can be prevented if the accelerator is revved. Once the engine dies it will not start for another 10 minutes but then it drives again until the cycle repeats. He has recently had the head gasket repaired, the ECU has also been replaced, he’s at his wits end, no faults are apparent after a diagnostic check. Any suggestions would be great Cheers P.S Car is a Renault
  10. Not had her Dyno'd yet once she's fully set up that will be my next task!
  11. If I used an SAFC2 would this alleviate the problem associated with the MAF sensor on the UK spec? The I could regain the delighful sounds of my HKS and up the boost on my hybrids to 1.3 bar at the same time?
  12. LOL... The stock bypass valve is working fine, just miss the ttttt--wooosh, wonder howm much quieter it would be.
  13. Running IK24, hear the standard UK pump was pretty good, but open to suggestions!
  14. If I install the SAFC2, would this cure the concerns of the HKS SSQV dumping to atmosphere on the UK spec too...
  15. I've just had a brand new pair of Technics Hybrids fitted... What a difference they make, it feels almost seemless the transition of T2 engaging, real difference over stock... Sweat! Dont even see a boost drop. Currently running them at 1.1 bar. Want to up them to 1.3 bar, but think I will need to ajust the fuelling with one of the APEXI products or something, any suggestions. Do I need one of these dodgy blue toys! Or is there another way!? I'm worried about pinking, I upped the boost to 1.2 and started to have detonation worries, so backed her down to 1.1. Any suggestions on the best route, appreciated. The car feels so much more responsive already! Cheers
  16. I have a UK Supra, had the HKS SSQV dumping atmospherically, it sounded good but was really messing with the running of my car. So I removed it after C.W advised me to and the car ran fine again! If I used the recirc kit, would this correct the issues related to the MAF sensor etc, has anyone on here done this, any problems, and what does it sound like, surely with the recirc fitted the sound is dampened (defeating the object in some respects). Cheers!
  17. Sounds like what happened to me, I think when the stock system activates, because it isn't progressive, traction snaps back and you get huge over compensation as grip returns...
  18. The stock Traction system threw me all over the road once when it kicked in, scared the hell out of me, I think it was a result of the tyres re-finding grip, then sudden increased traction on the road caused a huge jolt. Now I run RLTC and if you forget to turn of the stock it deffinitely inteferes with the operation of the racelogic (no matter what anyone says). I've noticed sometimes the slip light flickers even when you have the stock turned off and your giving it some with RLTC on. On the ABS matter, I might be wrong here but I thought the light was only supposed to come on if there was a fault. I had to slam on in the wet the other day and I could feel the ABS system working, dont recall any warning lights on (startup test is fine), however, I do recall shi**ing myself, so maybe it was an oversight on my behalf!
  19. Anyone know the Toyota part codes for the oil feed gaskets, should be fitting my new hybrids this week. Or recommendations on gasket kits etc. My cars UK spec Cheers SKI
  20. Can the stock headlight washers on the UK spec be modified to provide an aquamist type system....
  21. Richie, the guys name is chiefgroover, he posts on the other forum, he will probably send you a copy of his print out if you ask him! I can't find the copy he mailed me, but it was very impressive. I don't understand why pure toluene should damage the engine (caution noted though), what is more of a concern is the combustion products are highly carcinogenic so if you run toluene you want your windows up, and you don't want to get it on your skin!
