  1. I get this too, there is no pattern I can identify, doesn't seem dependant on weather, the only common factor is that it disappears after about 10 minutes of driving and (as previously stated) can be corrected by applying the throttle. I’d be interested to hear if anyone solves this one way or another!

    HID bulb help

Can't find the original sellers website anymore, it's been about two years and it was from an American site (so screwed), seem to remember the bulbs being 10K HID. Louisjames, when you say £30 on ebay that sounds pretty good can you remember the dude who sold them to you, email? Chief, how's it going? You had those afterburners fitted yet
  4. One of my HID bulbs has blown, can I just buy a replacement or do I need to change the ballast as well (wasn't sure if they were a standard voltage). Any suggestions on a good place to buy replacement bulbs would be great. Cheers.
  5. I friend is swapping out my active spoiler motor for me on Tuesday. Does anyone have a workshop diagram for this, or is it pretty straight forward. Cheers.
  6. No, standard box with TRD filter, recently cleaned
  7. Cheers, will deffo give that a look. The cars in for a new radiator tomorrow, will ask them to take a look at that too....
  8. Every so often (about once a month or so) the car will hunt around 4-600 RPM. There doesn't seem to be any pattern, it usually lasts about 5 minutes and then goes away (I can still drive it, I just have to hold the revs steady with my foot at lights etc). Occasionally it happens if I restart my car after she's just been turned off. I can't identify any pattern in the strange idling. Weather doesn't make any difference. Recently had an intensive service new plugs etc made no difference. I'm thinking maybe a faulty FCD? Could it be a fuelling problem linked to my Walbro, suggestions welcome. Cheers
  9. cheers dude, looks like that's the way forward then...
  10. Cheers for the reply ric, the part with the damage is a separate section that can be detached from the back box by bolts. It's the curved pipe that replaces where the double pipes sit on the stock. Surely I can just by that section, hope so anyway.
  11. The metal stem (don't know its technical name) which attaches the pipe after the back box to the body has snapped off, leaving a ten pence size hole in the pipe. Basically my exhaust has three sections, a twin decat pipe, and a mid section which connects to the dragger back box. I need a new mid section pipe (this where the damage is). Does anyone know the name of the part I need to order? Much obliged to anyone who can help, the 747 noise it's making now is going to get me ASBO'd. Cheers...
  12. I think the technical term is "Moooooooosing" I'd love to bin my stock bov, but I'm running a UK spec. Is there anyway around the MAF, then I can get a nice HKS.
  13. I have the same, but only on cold mornings, once she's hot it stops (even after I swapped over to technics hybrids still the same), I thought it might be some type of resonance in the intake until the car gets hot.
  14. Jake, did you get my PM/email?
  15. That's good news, cheers for the replies
  16. Update: I've sorted a motor from Jake, does anyone now if the front bumper has to come of to replace it?
  17. Cheers Jake, I'll take it. P.M me your paypal email address and I'll sort you out.
  18. I have a set on my car, they're sweet as.
  19. Someone with an FMIC must have one of these hanging around somewhere
  20. Cheers for the reply. It does seem to move ok, that's the bizarre thing, it comes down with a squealing noise and then just goes back up. I could try greasing all the parts. If it's not the motor, I wonder if it's the ECU the controls how it deploys. Just to clarify, my car is UK spec so that rules out spedo conversion problems.
  21. Looking for a good condition active spoiler motor. Cheers
  22. Basically, the spoiler's been making a grinding noise for a few months now. Recently, it's started deploying and then retracting again immediately. When I'm driving the green spoiler light flashes, if that's any help? At the moment I just have it turned off. Not planning on getting rid and would rather fix if possible. Any suggestions as to what to try (other than a front mounted intercooler ?) C.W serviced my car today and thought it sounded like a shafted motor. Wondered if anyone else had experienced a similar problem.
  23. Dude.... You're way to easy going for my liking.... She must have been one cute bird! You're gonna' be sore for a while with the ribs, take it easy Ern... your the man! Interested in your new project An armoured car with NOS by any chance.....
  24. Dude you're lucky you weren't travelling in the other direction.... That was one serious collision!!! I would be unconsolable if it were mine. I'm lost for words mate, just hope you're feeling better soon.
