  1. Has gone ... back to just one supra toy to play with Anyone need a landrover defender 110 V8 for £1000 ?
  2. Provisionally sold ... That was quick, clearly too cheap
  3. Engine should start ok, will need a new battery by now, and the alternator belt was removed as it was worn, but has not been replaced yet. To move this you will need to get on a trailor as its not roadworthy in its current state (water leak, no belt, no MOT etc). Brakes have usual surface corrosion but should still be ok.
  4. When we bought this I had lots of time free, but since then unfortunately its not been touched other than moving it around the drive a few times. We have a new van coming in a two weeks time, and desperately need to make some space for it, so I've decided to let this one go to a better home (preferably someone with the time to fix it). When we picked it up, the engine was running very well (apart from the water leak - see thread above), and everything else was as documented. MUST be collected prior to 25th Jan, so please only express an interest if you can collect before then. £1100ono. First one to call me on 07801 163666 has first dibbs. Rich

Web designers dont work in offices these days ... they work wherever they want to So base yourself in Kos with clients in the US and get paid in Euros....

    IT Course advice

The best courses I have been on have been week long classroom based where you all have to do the same thing, so everybody learns the same thing. Employers now want you to prove that you can , rather than that you used to / heard of..... Learning Tree courses are quite cost effective ...

Looks a little too generalised from a potential employer perspective, I would like to see a more specialised resource that can do what I need, rather than 'being aware of' type skills. My advice would be to choose a web development platform to train up in and then stick to it. A quick search / call to recruitment agencies would confirm current market demand and best rates of pay. £2k is not cheap ...
  9. Well, its her car ... so I can't speak to loudly. I just hope this is not the start of a bad year ! Well that's just jinxed myself....
  10. Well, that did cross my mind but she says she locked it ... difficult to say anything other than 'are you sure ?'
  11. Thanks for all the comments ... The legacy only has an immobiliser ... so no alarm to sound. But if they had started it then I would have heard it instantly as its a little louder than it should be No doubt they would have been away before I got to them and then you have me chasing them in the Supra ... guess that would be one way to get both cars written off in one go as there as is no way on this planet that I would let them get away (not risking joe public lives of course)... Anyway, back in reality, ignition barrel is broken, so we are just waiting for the price... will consider the option of getting a new key just for the ignition as it does have central locking. Have also just been quoted £499 by Gap Security for a new Clifford 650 ... so that's probably going on. I did look over the doors and locks and could not see a single mark to indicate how they opened the door ... maybe a wire slid in somewhere or what, but zero scratches ??? They even closed the door after they gave up ... maybe they had to close it to walk past the car, but if I was stealing cars I dont think I would be closing doors on failed attempts ... They clearly only wanted the car as nothing inside was touched inc. face off stereo / cds etc etc. We might have to invest in some physical security , like the metal poles that sink into the ground but dont want to get paranoid just yet Chav theiving scum coward mother shagging dog excrement hand jobbing tossers !
  12. Some thieving scumbags tried to steal our Legacy last night ... they managed to get into the car with no signs of any damage, and then made a mess of the ignition barrel trying to start it. The big red flashing light on the immobiliser didnt give them a clue that breaking the ignition would get them nowhere ... needless to say they gave up and left us the mess to clear up I'm so annoyed, not because they tried to steal it ... but because we normally sleep with a window slightly open just for such things (club hammer to the ready etc etc), but last night it was closed. How typical is that ... we have a gravel drive for them to 'crunch along' with security lights. But failed miserably last night to hear or see them. The Legacy has just gone to the local scooby centre to be looked at, but no doubt the ignition barrel is trashed and we will need to buy a new one as well as new locks all round.
  13. I would go for a mix ... maybe start with some Photinia Red Robin ... evergreen and grow reasonably quickly to a good height. Then maybe mix in something like fosythia to get some early spring colour (also grow quickly to a good height) ... Also, go for some cotoneasters (or similar) for the winter colour (orange is good) ... If you just want a hedge ... then rather than something like leylandii go for Thuja's ... grow about 18" a year but can be cut without leaving deadwood everywhere.
  14. Just bought a 1TB external from PC Wierdo for £100 ... not bad value for money
  15. Hi Ryan, how much to post to SL2 4LD ... thanks. I'll take them if its reasonable £s....
