  1. Cheers guys -will look into it soon!
  2. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone on the BBS has had an aftermarket auto box fitted? I'm thinking of the possibility of replacing my 'box with a 'beefier' jobbie. Have'nt heard much about these, remember TDI were doing some sequential doodad back in the day.. Help, anyone?
  3. Can someone please add me to the list 'cos dont know how to...
  4. Yeah baby! If i'm back from work defo up for it!
  5. Cheers aron, thanks for the advice! I'm hoping to go to more tracks in the future, see if i can improve a bit more for my next trip to the ring Plus a few more ponys under the bonet would'nt go amiss
  6. Yup, and i wasa the slowest ;-) (but still loving it!) Gr8 photos liz! Will have to host mine somewhere i guess now....
  7. Yeah, good find aron! Also lizzeh - where's the catalogue pose shots?
  8. Just like to add my comments to those of Aron n Rob - fantastic weekend, really enjoyed meself Defo a 'ring addict now! Thanks to Rob for getting it sorted (shame you missed the ferry m8 ) n aron for the pointers! Think i timed a 9 minute lap meself towards the end, so well chuffed, considering prior to last weekend i was a track virgin Oh, not forgetting the random bird with big tits who i took for a 'hot lap' at the end of sunday If you have'nt ever been - WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR????
  9. Errr, can't remember off the top of me head m8, but if you take the tank with you, you can try different size bolts until you find the on that fits ( or measure the hole size if you're a techie-type)
  10. I fitted a greddy catch tank about 8 months ago - again, did'nt come with the required fitting kit. Just pop down to Focus n get some of that galv steel bar with holes drilled in it. You'll probably have to drill out the holes a bit to fit the bolts, but with a bit of brute force and ingnorance it works. I fitted mine near the front of the engine bay in the space near the air filter - handy to get at if i need to empty the damm thing
  11. Would love to, but off to the 'Ring with Bobbeh n AJI in an hour's time. See ya'll when i get back (plus supra hopefully )
  12. Personally i would have thought weekends would be easier for most folks, but then again, i'm easy (ooer! Monthly meet sounds like a good idea tho'...
  13. Hi guys! Great meet, good to see some new faces (and old!), still trying to figure out how to reduce the file size on my piccies to post 'em up. Personally, i think plod were jealous of the cars....
  14. (waves hand jedi-stylee) "these are'nt the dobbers you were looking for.."
  15. Holy crap! That's not the kind of contraception i was thinking of!!!
  16. Cripes! Piss's you off a bit, don't it? I work for BP on the VLCC market as a deck officer, and trading around W. Africa, you get some right dodgy orders...just glad i'm not Captain (yet )
  17. That's crap! It took ol' Vader 32 attempts to guess i was thinking of CAR! Luckily, the force is strong in me......
  18. If you can get hold of the 'supra pure sports' like i've got (came with the car), they look pretty fly....best bet is Mr Toyota i guess....
  19. Congrats m8! v. tidy job! All you've gotta do now is get rid of those floormats
  20. Cool! The more the merrier! See above for where we are meeting
  21. For you guys who are still up for it, the meet will be this saturday (11th) at 12 o'clock at Cribbs causeway. Best bet is the carpark by TGI Fridays (just next to the cinema). I'll be there, will keep an eye out for everyone! See ya then!
  22. Hi m8 and See you're based in Glos. Where abouts? I'm in nailsworth. Anyhoo, am organising a mini-meet this saturday down at Cribbs causeway if you fancy coming along - should be about another 5 or so net members there. Come along and say hi! Cheers matey Salvatore
  23. Yikes! But then agian, that's why i like dogs....Could you see a cat putting his life on the line for his owner?
  24. Cheers for the input guys - bit more reassured now! Bobbeh - getting new brake pads fitted and oil change soon, plus new FMIC and oil cooler from Paul E - should be in fine fettle by then m8!
  25. Well, today i deceided to fit my recently arrived earthing kit (courtesy of Miami GT). Seeing as i had to use a decent earth at the offside front of the bonnet, i deceided to use the bolt fixing my catch tank to the inner 'lip' of the bumper top. Having removed the catch tank, thought it would be a good idea to empty it out. Took off the hoses, removed the small blocking grub screw (it's a greddy item BTW), and went to drain it out. What came out can only be described as runny brown shit! In fact, not unsimilar to that you get in baby's nappies (yum!) plus a bit of oily water. Now, apart from being a bit amused by the 'discharge' , i am somewhat worried. Is this what is meant ot come out, or is my soop suffering a monumental bout of the shits! I guess it's the action of the oil emulsifying with the water and air mix to produce a 'mousse', but has anyone else experienced this (rather amusing) effect?
