  1. Handed over the keys to my supra yesterday, so sad to see her go.:( Had 10 years of enjoyment and fun with her, spent A LOT of money on her and went to a lot of interesting places. Met new people with the same passion and interest as me. At least she's going to a good home, John from Lancashire (he's on this forum) - he's promised me he'll look after her for me. Had to choke back a tear as i waved them off. Still can't believe she's gone though... Gonna go console myself by looking for a trackday car
  2. Cheers guys, thanks for all your comments;) Probably will give the cougar a swerve in any case as it's FWD, so back on t'internet to look for bangers!! I'll let you know how it goes
  3. Hi all, Been thinking a lot recently about getting a cheap car and stripping it out to make a trackday special. Have just seen a ford cougar 2.5l v6 for £995, am mightily tempted, only its FWD:( It's a lot of car for under a grand, that engine is the same one out of the mx-6 if i'm not mistaken? Any suggestions? My idea is to just strip it out first, upgrade the brakes and suspension and take it from there... What other cars do you guys reccomend??
  4. Go straight for a 'big bike' I did my CBT, brought a GSXR 600, then did the direct access, passed the test after three days and rode me new toy home that afternoon You'll get bored of a 125 pretty soon, and i'm sure you'll find excuses to go out on the bike if it's not just for commuting. As for being too fast, well to employ a hackneyed saying, a throttle works both ways Good luck whichever way you deciede to go

  6. Hi all, He's just contacted me through ebay asking me to ship the car to italy for him even though i specified in the ad i preferred cash in hand and pick up. Gonna talk with ebay help later today and see what i can do. Thanks for all the input guys - it's appreciated;)
  7. Hi Chris, My thoughts exactly - if i was bidding on a car, personally i would'nt leave the seller swinging in the wind for over a week now, but as george pointed out earlier, he may be on holiday. As i said, i'll leave it to mid week then see what transpires. I've opened a payment dispute ticket with ebay regarding the auction.
  8. Hi Matt, No, nothing yet. To be fair to the guy, i'll leave it a while longer (say mid-next week), and if he has not contacted me by then, i'll glady take offers on it
  9. Cheers for the info guys - will just have to be patient i guess ! Thanks also for the compliments on the car...shame she has to go:(
  10. Hi Dave, Can't remember where i got those shiny bits - think it was miami GT...dunno if they are still around? Guess you could get them off of most of the traders on this site. A question open to all (especially those who've sold cars on ebay) - does it usually take so long for a buyer to contact you regarding a sale??? Starting to think i've been lead up the garden path here a bit.....
  11. Hmmm, might not even have sold it yet...the guy buying it is in italy, and i have'nt heard anything off of him yet. This is my first time selling a car on ebay, and when his bid came up, i immediately thought "how the hell is he gonna collect?". Watch this space...it might still be up for grabs for the £5100 if i dont hear anything soon
  12. Here ya go..... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180497204226&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
  13. .......and the supra is sold on ebay Don't really want to see it go, but it's one of those 'heart versus head' things. Never gets used when i'm away, and when i'm home, we've got two other cars that cover all our needs (plus i've got the bike for speed fixes:)) Anyone fancy a bid on it so at last i know it's going to a good home?
  14. Wow, a stunning car...lots of attention to detail there:D Wish i had the patience to keep my cars that clean and tidy!!
