  1. That's right, I wouldn't imagine any of the dealer options are available anymore and if for sale it would likely be old new stock Still hoping someone has the included instructions for this keyless entry or even pictures of the loom installed in their car they can share.
  2. The key and module pair I got was - 08190-00210. The harness should be 08191-14050 although I think I got the pre-facelift one (my car is facelift). Still hoping someone can provide input into where those 2 remaining wires hooke up to on the car end.
  3. I actually went ahead and pluged in 2 of the large plugs and surprisingly the keyless entry module worked. That is, the key locks and unlocks the doors using the buttons! But...... there are 2 plugs (2 wires in total together) which aren't connected to anything: the blue with red stripe wire - via the wire tap (didn't tap it in as I don't know where to) the brown wire - I thought plugged into keyhole illumination like the footwell lights but it doesnt fit I'm still unsure where these 2 go into. I suspect 2. does not work as my car is the facelift model whereas the jumper loom may be for pre-facelift (?) Anyone got any ideas? You're right, keyless is different in today's world but that's probably because the definition evolved over the years. It's named as keyless in the official accessories brochure by Toyota. What this box does is basically what you described; remote central locking/unlocking without using the physical key.
  4. Do you have the photo of it installed? specifically the wire where it taps into?
  5. That key case can obtained from Yahoo as there are many other cars that share the same case. Do you need a link? Could you please tell me where the quick splice fed into on the car side? Thats what I've been trying to work out. Also what year is your JZA80?
  6. Apologies - I wasn't able to respond sooner as I had this message; " You have reached the maximum number of posts you can make per day." To answer your question, no button on the side so it would seem that it's true that the JDM keyless option is paired to keys from factory and you can't pair it to additional keys. This isn't a big deal for me. There is actually a guy who collects all those options and is located in the UK - he's on Supraforums and goes by the alias of "oemdude". He also posted on Supraforums AU. His thread on Supraforums is here - https://www.supraforums.com/threads/what-oem-options-have-you-got- in-your-supra.702700/page-7 I tried to reach out to him via email in his signature but unfortunately had no reply - he was selling them (loom and box) at one point from the posts I saw. P.S. I think SupraForums AU is dead fairly dead compared to here and SupraForums judging by the activity in each sub-forum. Thank you so much! Look forward to seeing your post. I think it will help many others too who probably have no access to the instructions and/or sell their units to others.
  7. I got my unit from him actually! For some reason, they've gone up from $400AUD to $999AUD now oddly enough. He says they are plug and play (his response to me also) but I think he's illinformed (or just trying to sell) - it's only plug and play if you have the jumper loom (which you would only have the loom if your car had the keyless entry optioned from dealerships) I managed to find the loom second hand but without instructions.
  8. Much appreciated! Actually, I came across that thread from my research but unforuntately doesn't help me as I'm after where that specific wire tap goes.
  9. Thank you! That would be extremely useful. Look forward to your reply
  10. That's right its a dealer option (as opposed to factory option) Hoping someone with keyless entry on their cars can shed some light as there are quite a few Supras that came with them
  11. Definitely came out of a JZA80 (seller advised) and the plugs fit JZA80 also. Just that one wire tap (tap looks like other Toyota wire taps) which I don't know where it goes to - need help on this
  12. Hi all I've obtained a Japanese keyless entry module and loom. It comes with 2 jumper harness and a wire tap/splicer which I've shown in the picture below - is anyone able to advise where/which wire you tap this into? (or even what the purpose is). I've located 1 or 2 blue wires with red stripes in the drivers footwell but they're much thicker than the one that goes into this loom via the tap/splicer. I've done my research online but can't seem to find anything.
  13. Hi all, Am wondering why HKS and big JDM companies make so few parts and kits for VVTi specifically? An example are suction kits from HKS and other parts all exclude VVTi. Was also looking at SARD turbo kits and this was the same. Is there a technical reason behind this? Cheers
