  10. This could be the reason why mine don't start (J spec car with, which I think now is a UK spec engine and loom, I think!). I originally bought the car as a non runner, blown motor which I rebuilt, the inlet manifold had the EGBV gubbins which I removed, isn't this only on UK spec cars? Sorry, no it can't be a UK loom as it didn't have the plug for the resistor pack which I had to hard wire in.
  11. I have a pair of available in Gunmetal £150 + P&P
  12. I have checked everything above 1. OK 2. IGN feedback Pin 58 is 5v, I have checked on 2 other Supras today and they both have 5V. 3. OK 4. Not sure on correct way of testing apart from using a scope!
  13. abs, Yes done this test and RPM needle jumps when cranking. 1. Checked, I have 12V's 2. checked relays & feed OK 3. All checked about 10 times I am at the stage of smashing my car with a sledge hammer:rolleyes:
  14. Checked sensors at the plugs and not the ECU, the coils are OK and getting 12V but no signal when cranking.
  15. OK, thanks Fred will check that. Has anybody else got other suggestions?
  16. That' my mates Supra, fresh out of the body shop. I have been swapping parts out of it lately to try and get mine started as it is a 6speed TT. I will do a little photoshoot once I have mine ready. Will post some pics for you guys on Monday as they are on my PC at work.
  17. 1. I persume your talking about the EMU ECU? yes it lit up with IGN II. 2. No spark at plug tip, tested many times. 3. Yes, I have no problem with the fuel side of things. 4. Yes, as above. 5. Swapped Crank sensor with spare ~1300 Ohms, Cam sensors ~ 950 to 1000 Ohms
  18. Fields harness is going in tommorow, thanks Martin. But for now it's all back to original.
  19. Only had the standard alarm which I have bypassed, the weird thing is it started on several occasions, I have checked & double checked all wiring connections.
  20. RLTC was in when it started and has now been removed, so everything is back to stock. Checked all fuses crank and cam sensors also checked all earth connections, running out of ideas now:(
  21. I'm having some problems trying to start my Supra after my rebuild (I am using the Emanage Ultimate for my controller). Originally I was having problems with no fuel getting past the injectors, that was solved by swapping out the resistor pack & EMU, the car then started OK. A few days later I changed the jumper setting for the RPM signal on the EMU and the car wouldn't start I reset to original setting but still no good!! I checked over a few things and found I had NO spark. I checked and swapped out the following from a running car, Igniter, plugs, Coilpacks, Stock ECU, Crank sensor and also checked timing and timing gear. The car still failed to start, I then bypassed the igniter wires on EMU and the car started after several attempts, I then tryed the following day and it wouldn't start again due to no spark. Today I removed the EMU and RLTC wiring harness and reverted back to original ECU and tryed to start the car but it wouldn't I am now runing out of ideas as to what it could be I have code 47 & 78, 78 because I occasionally pull the fuel pump connector. I would appreciate any help if anybody has experienced or come across this problem before, thanks
  22. You done the right thing Pal, to many people have no respect for other peoples property these days.
  23. The smell is from bacteria build up on the evaporator and drip tray, the only proper way of eliminating the smell is by cleaning with anti bacterial coil cleaner.
  24. James, I have the same resistor pack and wired mine as follows: Locate blk/org wires in wiring loom as it exits the bulk head, I found 9 or 12 wires. 6 of these wires go direct to the injectors and it's these 6 wires out of 12 you need to find. Here's how I did it. I cut one BLK/ORG wire at a time at the bulk head side and carried out a continuity test to see which wire was linked to which injector (I managed to cut 1 wire which wasn't linked, so I resoldered it back). Once I had found all 6wires, I connected x3 BRN wires from resistor pack to the first 3 injectors and x3 YEL wires to the next 3. I was then left with x6 BLK/ORG wires which go back into the bulkhead, these 6 wires need to be soldered together and connected to the red wire from the resistor pack. I am not 100% certain that this is the correct way to wire up this resistor pack as the same trader cannot verify.
