  1. It's been a while since I have updated here all due to a few issues with leaks and wanted to sort them before the car goes on the road. The gearbox had a very minor drip (red line in pic) and the engine oil was dripping (circled red) The gearbox had to come back out. The engine oil leak was diagnosed as some dodgy sealant on the housing and was possibly the main cause of the leak. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=153554&d=1339966811 http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=153555&d=1339966811 I replaced the rear main seal and re-sealed the housing (sorry forgot to take pics). The gearbox bell housing was removed and also resealed. Big thanks to my mate Paul for helping me out on this one http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=153556&d=1339966811 http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=153557&d=1339966811 I fitted everything back up yesterday and am pleased to say all the leaks are now gone so it's MOT & Tax tomorrow as Ryan is coming up to do the final bit of mapping on Tuesday.
  2. Big thanks to Chris for supplying me with a new rear main seal and great bit of advice I managed to sort out all the leaks so will update in my project thread here http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?241651-My-Super-Widebody-Aero-VVTi-Turbo-6sp-project/page73
  3. Thanks Chris I will email you now and call you tomorrow to make payment, thanks.
  4. I got the box off and checked the rear main seal which still looked OK as I previously inspected this when I fitted the box first time round. The rear main housing looked suspect and had oil residue, so I got it off and found some dodgy silicon which had started to delaminate most possible cause of the leak. I will get a seal ordered of Mr Wilson tomorrow and hopefully the engine oil leak will be sorted, just need to do something about the box next. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=153395&d=1339619737
  5. What gear oil did you use as a replacement? The front leak is engine oil, but its hard to tell if its the back of the sump or the RMS I am going to get the box off, later today. The rear leak is definately box oil but just wanted to see if anybody else had a simillar problem and what needs doing to rectify.
  6. I have a small oil leak coming from the upper sump or rear main seal, can't really pinpoint it at the moment anybody like to hazard a guess before I start stripping the car down again. The oil settles at the bottom of the box circled in red. I also have a leak from the gearbox marked in the pic with a red line. I didn't notice this whilst the old oil was in the box, seems to have appeared since I put in Royal Purple synchromax, any thoughts? Any help appreciated as I need to get this sorted ASAP. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=153329&d=1339540523

Fitted my custom made splitter to the front bumper, I plan on leaving the mesh off as it looks much better IMO. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=152773&d=1338664502

Got to give a big thank you to everyone on here who has contributed towards building my dream supra, I't wouldn't have been possible without the club and all the tried and tested applications by other members. Thanks for doing a fine job on tuning the car Hodge you get another mention mate, thanks for all your help sorry if I missed any one out BIG to all. Here's a quickly edited video of the dyno session.
  17. The last few days have been crazy, had no sleep for 40 hours and then got back in last night at 4 am and back to work this morning The car made 685 BHP @1.5bar of boost. Ryan reckons there is more to come 750+ will be possible with a few tweeks and Optimax. I will give shout outs to everyone later, back to work I go. Oh yeh, got some good dyno footage, so look out for the movie later tonight ( that's if I don't fall asleep, LOL ).

  19. Thanks Guy's. Big day tomorrow, Ryan is coming down to calibrate the DBW and get the car running, then its off to SRR for a dyno session. I am working through the night on the car to make sure everything is OK. I have cranked the engine over, oil pressure is OK and no leaks so far. I will top up all the fluids later tonight I am hoping there is no snags but I am sure there will be.
