  1. it would have to cost the same as what you paid for the Supra when you bought it :-)
  2. yes - i am bored today, so what would people have now if the Supra hadnt been invented?
  3. NWS25 - Take her with you, then you'll have someone to talk to when you realise no one else is turning up
  4. .......yet those barmaids are pretty special...... maybe we should all gather for a chant and resurrect the dead meet :-)
  5. is there still snow / is it snowing in Peterborough????
  6. my boost gauge barely gets above -ve in snow mode!
  7. Ahaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!h ahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa basically Mr R if you slip sooooo much that the SLIP CONT green light stays lit, then thats "SNOW MODE" and as stated before - power is cut all the time quite dramatically until your turn off slip cont and then back on again ! its bloody bloody safe !
  8. Its always dodgy though claiming on the insurance when its in a private car park, and thats assuming the person actually bothers to write the details and put them on your windscreen - or decides "sh*t thats a nice car, i'll drive off and hope no one saw me!"
  9. I'd like to see this switch too for when the misses drives the car although i never said that and i will deny i ever posted this !
  10. Having been forced to drive the Supra through thick snow on country lanes this morning i have to say that snow mode on stock traction control ROCKS thinking i could handle it i gently pulled away off the drive......no slip lights :-) first stop at junction to turn left slip lights :-( slip lights :-( slip lights :-( slip lights :-( slip lights :-( SLIP ON went round the twisty half wet half ice roads to get to the train station with "snow mode" and its just cool, its like the car has no turbo's no accidental pushing the pedal away from roundabouts, junctions etc I LOVE IT!!!! my only problem is now, after doing some lovelly parking on the ice at the Station, where i left my Supra is in direct line of the bend at a bottom of a hill for the car-park's entrance i fear i may get back to it tonight with a Ford Fiesta wedged in my stock bumper :-( :-(
  11. well i checked my pads at the weekend all seem fine and look like they have about 2/3 of 1cm left on them all, the only exception being the driver's rear which seems a bit lower....... i jacked up the front wheels and did a free rotation test both sides did have a slight noise when rotating, coming from the brake pad area, is this normal (i had handbrake on and P on the auto) i couldnt do the rears as i would have had to jack it up and release the handbrake and stick it in N, which i was not about to do on the toyota jack on a sloped drive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i got the other half to slowly drive up and down the drive listening to the rears, dint seem to make any noise, but then this is at 1mph and not the 65/70+ that i hear the "increased road noise" syndrome i would have been sure i would have heard something from a semi-stuck on calliper even at that low speed? my thoughts are moving towards wheel bearing territory?
  12. I see 2nd hand and only 5quid off hmmmmm only yanking your chain a bit here justin..... :innocent: offer is much appreciated, and i'll be checking my pads front and rear out this weekend , even though it maybe the rears that are squeeling if the fronts need doing i'll give you a holler........ still think used would be a cheaper idea :-)
  13. Yeah Cheers Justin 70 quid for 2 fronts or about 100 quid for all 4
  14. ....not even from a quality memeber on this BBS ? its also mainly to test that thats where my low down roady noisey type thing is coming from.....
  15. 100 quid piece of cake to fit might get 2nd hand cheers darren i still also suspect a dodgy calliper, but i can check it out while i'm doing the brakes
  16. if it stops bloody raining this weekend i'll have a look at all the pads to check them and perhaps get some ordered !
  17. either on the dash or when it screetches loud from the wheel? i think my pads are on the way out as theres a low droning noise from one on the rear at the moment, perhaps about to start screetching at me! where oh where to get jspec pads from !
  18. 1) it is 4) you can maybe this is a later model thing, but my jpec 93 TT does those!
  19. Hey Guys, Took the Supra out for a spin last night to get ready for the meet tonight, I found the there seems to be a huge amount of wind type noise from the rear, why i say "type noise", basically its really low down noise and looking at the rear window (it had rain on it) there seems to be some vibration as well so it could be the noise from that, I've also noticed a) my handbrake lever is pulling high, b) brake pedal is long c) engine is boosting and sounding fine, yet it seems....slow ! I've checked fluids and checked the rear brakes VISUALLY and also just touched them to see if there was any excessive heat, the discs look clean and shiny, Could it be the following ? a) slightly buggered calliper causing brake pad rub on a wheel b) buggered suspension / mount / shocks causing the rear to sit down (or up) giving me high drag? c) some sort of bearing problem I'm going to raise each wheel and rotate them by hand to see if there is any resistance this weekend and maybe take each one off and look at the callipers / brake pads..... any other suggestions?!?! Regards....
  20. You can have a cuppa tea between shifts on the Smart Car paddle shift ones !!! Fiat ones are also pretty poor as well the best ones ive found so far are : Toyota (obviously, models : Avensis, Yaris, Supra) Vw Golf (my old one had a nice autobox, no top end though) BMW (older shape 3 series auto, was a 2.5 though!) thats about it, i guess your looking German or Jap, but then - isnt that always the case for quality cars !
  21. Having recently purchased another AUTO car, an Audi i can safely say the Supra Auto box (in a TT) has to be the most smoothest and quietest and responsive i have ever ever driven (or been driven in when the car is an Auto) anyone drove a better Auto box than the Supra ?
