  1. You'd mess the handling up. Don't do it!
  2. CJ, I reckon that both those sets of wheels will look fantastic on your car. Do-luck obviously chose the ORANGE supra in the picture to show them off best - so what does that tell you eh!? The other set also look great, with that deep polished rim and a similar double spoke design. Both will look great and more importantly both will look unique - can anyone recall seeing either sets of those wheels on a supra in the UK? Doubt it! Have you already ordered the ones shown in the box? Joe
  3. Looking forward to hearing your first impressions of the car CJ! Must be quite a headturner!
  4. Who makes these wheels castle? £130 is a great price - thats for a 17"er right?
  5. Go for number 4! You can never go wrong with the good old cross-multispoke design.
  6. Wow! - never seen a supra in this country with a Do-Luck spoiler. Looking forward to seeing the finished product, CJ Are you getting Do luck wheels too?
  7. Couldn't agree more. What REALLY winds me up is that Tony Boy and his clan rake in SO much money from the motorist, but only put a fraction back into the infrastructure (probably half of which goes to building new scameras). Its not fair! Joe
  8. Yeah bring it on! ... but let me fill up first
  9. From what I've seen petrol prices are steadily going up across the board. What d'you reckon are the chances of another mass petrol strike? The last one clearly didn't have much long term impact did it?
  10. I'm interested! Look forward to seeing some pictures mate. Congrats for being different too - it'll be one of a kind
  11. Hi Roy, I just had a quick look on autotrader, there are two tt aero tops for sale. One in silver 69k miles almost totally standard for £12,750. It seems that the red one has been reduced from £11.5k to £10.5k (its been on there for quite some time) it got 59k miles and is also totally standard apart from some cheap looking alloys. There was another one up at 14k as Scooter mentioned, it must have been sold v. quickly - don't think its been on there longer than a week. So given that, I reckon you could go up to 15k, perhaps 14k. I haven't seen a black aerotop tt on there for ages and believe me, I've been looking! If you put your car up at a higher price (14-15k), the chances are buyers would percieve your car to be of superior quality. Hope you get a quick sale. Cheers, Joe

    Spec info required.

Thats a great price.. you're 21 aren't you? Can I ask who you're insured with, and does that include modifications? Thanks ps: sorry for slight thread hijack
  13. Well I would hope to think its more about the type of driver not how old they are. I'm in the process of buying a supra tt because I believe it is unbeatable in terms of purchase price/performance/reliability and everyday usability. The fact that it looks great is a bonus. I wouldn't deny i'll enjoy showing off in it, but I'm not buying it because it'll get 'nuff respect' from the local barry boys, or whoever... The supra may be reasonable value in terms of purchase price, but the same can't be said for running costs. Sub 20mpg, very high insurance costs etc.. Personally I can't stand cheap, poorly modified cars (novas, saxos, astras and so on). Why people can't just save the money and look to buy a better car in the first place is beyond me. I've been driving around in a bog standard 306 diesel for the last 3 years. Had I modified it I would have looked like an idiot. If these sorts of owners get their hand on supras then god help us. So here's hoping they dont. Joe ps: I'm 21
  14. I reckon this is a great idea, especially for clueless newbies like me My supra arrives in just over a month and its hard to know where to take the car for servicing and tuning what with people's differing opinions. Some sort of chart/table, in which members views can be illustrated all together would be of great help to everyone. Joe
  15. Its a bit brief isn't it!?
  16. I'm inclined to agree with you Jake, I also thought the cables were casting a shadow over the roof, but the importer seems to think otherwise. It would be great if it is an aerotop but if not then I'm still v. happy, hopefully I'll find out soon
  17. er yep that was me! (before I heard about the possiblility of it being an aerotop) Any other thoughts anyone? Thanks, Joe
  18. Just checked this thread and found some more posts, so thanks for that I have mentioned this already but the good news is that my Supra is in the bag (so to speak), and should arrive in approx 7-8 weeks. It's a 93' GZ (auto) with just 23-and-a-bit thousand miles guaranteed. I hadn't realised it was possible to get that sort of mileage on a ten-year old car but I've been assured its genuine (BIMTA certified). Ok so this is great, but then I had a call from the importer, and he informs me that there is something I should know about the car..... oh dear here we go, I'm thinking..... but then he said "there is a good chance that it is in fact an aerotop!" The dealer in Japan described the car as a GZ but suprisingly hadn't mentioned anything about it being an aerotop. On closer inspection of the pictures you can just about see two lines in the right places suggesting that it is, however, this will be verified by him within the next few days hopefully. So what do you think chaps, Aerotop or not?? edited because I cant spell
