  1. For anyone else interested in trying this - Was a success. I ended up sliding under and having a good look around on the underside first which was a bit painful without a pit. There is nothing behind this area apart from a set of cables on the far right but they float around 2cm away from the surface. I tack welded this plate on and also bolted through to some plates on the underside as well as this panel framework is only about 1mm thick. I now have a very solid/welded ISO fixing poking through the back seats.
  2. Hi all, so I have been trying various kiddie seats for my newborn. Have managed to get one style to fit so far with an adapter but it never quite sits right and always felt a bit janky. The kid loves the supra, and I love driving her in it (rather than the boring family car) so was thinking about a slightly more permanant/safer option...bear with me - this is just a thought! Was pondering welding an ISO fitting onto the bodywork behind the back seat, coming through the lower seats in the back Have had the back seats off and was wondering if anyone knows what is immediately behind the back seat, passenger side - essentially where your lower back is when sitting. Have looked for some exploded diagrams but cannot see what is there. Of course worried in case there is something importa t immediately behind there and whether I can get away with a quick weld in that area. Any thoughts? Photo of the area and the fitting I was thinking of using... (R hand drive, manual, MKiv/94)
  3. Hi - Looking for a service manual for a 'manual' 94 - Have looked in the downloads section but none of the links there are actually downloadable for some reason. Also searched the forum and most of the posts regarding this are 10+ years old and links not working etc as far as I can see. Can anyone advise where I might get a PDF version? been looking online and many of the links to buy them look very old and unreliable. Some do not even let you download..
  4. Yeah - really have my heart set on her first journey being in the Supra - She will love it
  5. So, bought an Isofix seat for our baby which is due near the end of the week. Which does not really fit. Can anyone reccommend a rear facing newborn seat that fits in a Supra? With it being due at the end of the weel - bit of an emergency!!
  6. I have no spoiler button as far as I can see. There is a small round button below the mirror fold switch which was converted into a foglight switch a few years ago but no spoiler button. The spoiler was long gone before I bought it so did not even know they had one. Hmm. I thought that was it! The light comes on at a perfectly reliable 60mph on the dot every time so seemed like the spoiler control would be the culprit
  7. Yeah I just do not seem to have that box. I have a black and yellow ABS box and the larger silver box but not the smaller spoiler top box - bit if a mystery as I cannot see anything matching that top box from @tayr s reply anywhere behind the dash. You can see the rail where it might have sat. Is there another way around this warning light?
  8. Hello, Thanks for your reply. I took my dash off today and I do not seem to have that box. I think I gave the right spot as the brown/orange boxes match the ones in your photo - behind the middle console? I seem to have a big air vent where your boxes are and I could not see those boxes behind unless I need to dig deeper? I searched everywhere behind other parts of the dash and could not see it. Could it be somewhere else? Thanks
  9. Hello - i have a warning light on my MK4 which comes on at 60mph exactly and has done for years - I remember reading somewhere that this may be due to an active spoiler activating at 60 (which is no longer on the car - it has a fixed spoiler) I have an electrician coming to look at the car Friday for soe other stuff and I wanted to try and get him on finally fixing this long term annoyance. Does anyone know of a fix/solution to this that I can direct the electrician towards? Thanks
  10. My left side wing mirror mechanism seemed to have snapped today on my 94 Supra (black) Anyone know a good place to find spares/parts? Had a look on Ebay and no joy there Thanks
  11. Amazing reply. Everything I needed to know. Thankyou!
  12. Hi, as we are approacbhing summer I need to get my long non-working air con looked at - anyone got any experience on whether they are repairable /replaceable etc. Are the spares/replacements easy to get hold of, anyone North London who specialises
  13. Hi all, I am installing a double din kenwood with which also has a kenwood reverse cam. There is a purple wire on the back of the kenwood that it says to hook up to the reverse harness. Wondering where/what this is on a mk4? Read other posts which say they just hook up the camera power to the reverse light as a trigger but not sure if that is the same in this case as it seems to have an actual trigger lead on the head?
  14. Also been looking at these Sony's Sony XAVAX3005ANT https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07GY3VC27/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_FPE94WPCR4FB8VAJT293 Anyone got any experience with these?
  15. Thanks for all the suggestions Liking the look of these - SPH-230's Do you have the reverse-cam hooked up? Was wondering how that actualy works - what does the stereo connect into to know that you are reversing?
