  1. Its funny isn't it... if you live near an airport you can't complain too much about low flying aircraft or noise - 'cos they tell you you're too emotional about the whole thing.(my own experience!) But if you live near a race circuit you can stop people having safe fun! - ok - "we'll go for a race around the M25 again... thats safe and has no noise restrictions" ... rant over.... Donny were tight on the Time attack peeps last year, but most of us couldn't get any grip anyway! (snow, 1-2 deg C etc). Oulton was anal about the whole thing - probably in light of Chris's comments, because of the diligent council members. Snetterton were pretty good, they pulled Paul on his 3rd lap a while back... and wouldn't let him back on track until it was significantly reduced (112dB I think?) Brands is the only circuit I've never had a problem with (hopes that isn't the death statement!) - probably because it sits in a valley. It's still 105dB but thats a normal track day limit for them, no special day or rates are normally applied. .. just my observations
  2. I've heard that MSV will ban you completely for a year - they take it very seriously. They noticed my Performance box on my Dash on a couple of days. I told them I was using it as a speed meter and they were fine. Aparently if you don't look at the data whilst there they don't get too upset. Oulton is monsterous ... loved that circuit last year in the TA round.
  3. Snetterton is great for the supes - look a pauls Club times for last years TA round! Its a challenging circuit for those that want to go all out and rag around it, but its also good for beginners as it has plenty of run off and its not too complicated to get right for beginners. Brands is just awesome for rollercoaster rides!
  4. Ahh, for drifting! Now I get it...

  7. Bump... plus I can bring this to Ace Cafe on Thursday - makes it cheaper
  8. These aren't FIA aproved. I'm not sure what you're after, it sounds like you want FIA approved harnesses but they can be expired? why? If you need FIA approved harnesses for a reason, expired ones won't pass regulations. Technically they're only FIA approved whilst valid. .. just trying to understand what you're after ?

  14. Sorry guy's - no chance to weigh the car today, its snowing and I can't get the car off the drive! ... so the guessing can go on for another week
  15. ... it was a compromise on the noise and the wallet! we had a lot of noise issues between the 3 cars - Paul will confirm, as I think he's had 3 different ones trying to get noise levels down, and Ben's had additional baffling done on his, so as my trusty old 'dragger' hasn't failed yet I've stayed with it! Plus changing the tubby to the GT4088R made it about 2dB louder, so it currently runs in at about 102dB and all the tracks we've competed/tested on are 105dB. As for inside, if it doesn't help me go in a straight line/round corners or stop its not in there. Then I had to consider the 'Pro Timeattack' rules, so cage and fire system have been added. Heres a link to a pic of the dash : http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=133161&page=4 (go to the bottom and work back, its about 4 post's up)
  16. ... lets say its a guess of the dry weight without me.

  20. I felt that! hopefully get to one this week if I can. Also, only prob I had at snetty was early braking due to new pads that were reeling me in earlier than I was used to!
