  1. I was going to ask: What's the point in getting that book and not openning it? Surely you'd buy 2 copies? Otherwise it'd be like buying Playboy but saying "No, I'm only going to look at the cover"...
  2. Thor are working on just such a project I believe. A 3UZ perhaps. I always wonder though - no one every seems to have a straight answer - are there any chassis differences between NA and TT? Someone once mentioned the rear subframe for example. Would stuffing a great big engine in the NA chassis give problems? Oh, and CJ - another good reason to want to upgrade your existing NA is that having put a shit-load of miles on there, it's resale value goes through the floor, yet there's nothing actually wrong with it - that's where I am right now.
  3. Every day for five years baby - 120,000 miles and counting! YEAH!
  4. Isn't ADD largely down to poor diet (too much sugar)? Or at least the same effect can be be created by getting the kids hyperactive on sugary drinks like coke.
  5. I'm dying to know whether or not you sat through the full 6.5 hour recording to find that one click...
  6. Nothing to do with the pissing rain at all?
  7. I wonder if club etiquette should require the claim of "repost" to be substantiated with a link, at the peril of being [insert humourous punishment here] I reckon half the repost claims are thinking of 'viral emails' or other forums, which shouldn't count.
  8. My point is that you experienced strange goings-on, after partaking of a substance that affects the senses. I'm very cyncical about the occult and all that, and believe that there are frequently ways of explaining away what people have experienced.
  9. You, Eyefi. You said you'd had a bong out... Greenpeace - that's a great story!
  10. But you admit that you were 'under the influence' at the time...
  11. Agreed - it's an expensive business too, especially for those on a limited income - sweets ain't cheap any more.
  12. Agreed - I also enjoyed it as a small child, but we made masks, we didn't just buy the generic mass-produced rubbish from the 'occasions' card shops. We also only visited the houses of people we were friends with, not every house in a ten mile radius. And we hollowed out a swede, not a turnip (or pumpkin, obviously). Gonna go be super-fit at the gym all evening I think - gets me and the car safely away from the house - saddly not as good as the bedroom idea...
  13. I hate the little buggers - I'll tolerate the kids from my street (there's only three or four of them) because they're of a suitable age, and I know they'll appreciate anything I give them. It's the gangs of kids working the whole neighbourhood that piss me off. It's not even like it's a British thing, it's entirely an American import. Some berk even asked me the other day "Isn't it a bank holiday on Monday, being halloween?"
  14. My mother-in-law claims to have seen a ghost in an old manor house she used to be a gardener at - lady in a victorian style dress walked down the corridor towards her, then turned 90 degrees and through the wall. Investigations showed that there had once been a doorway there. Mind you, the same person once claimed that she had felt the presence of the devil in our spare bedroom one night...and I hadn't even had a curry!
  15. How's this for post-pub giggles? http://www.izpitera.ru/lj/tetka.swf :read:
  16. Are you interested in a PX at all? Stock '97 SZ auto targa? (Go on, you know you want it!) Otherwise I'll have to be a marginally more persuasive with the bank manager Go on - you can see the logic - cash in your pocket and a Supra... (Serious by the way)
  17. These guys are listing bulbs at around £40 - do you know if that's a pair or single? If it's single then I think I'll roll around laughing for a bit, then give it a miss!
  18. Not taking sides here, but the "Darwin" mention makes death the implied conclusion of the story.
  19. No, mines a KC9036, rechargeable model. Guess they must have discontinued it now. It does fit in the armrest cubby though.
  20. Standard 12v black & decker with 5 mil hex-head bit and magnetic adaptor - £12 from Homebase, and it fits in the glove box. magic
  21. What surprises me is that the engine only costs £750. I mean, how? A 2JZ shortblock appears to cost around £2000, with similar amounts for the head too. Is it simply economies of scale given that the American market loves v8s?
