  1. Hey! Might be a pretty strange question, but does anyone know the size of the hole in the rear bumper of J-Spec Supras, that usually is filled with the license plate? Cheers!
  2. If it's a 95, then it's a retrofit. Only the US-Models did have them in the non-facelifted version.
  3. JZ (engine code 2JZGTE) A (Toyota rear wheel drive chassis) 8 (8th generation, the RWD Supra evolved from the old RWD Carina/Coronas) 0 (fine code, only one actual model, so just one digit:))
  4. Well yeah, I'am aware of the fact the Japs still don't have strict emission regulations, but an OEM factory-fitted cat would be a better base for modifiying the whole car to pass Euro 2 and maybe even Euro 3 then the old one. I could even think with just better cats it could pass Euro 2 without further problems, what would make importing Supras >2000 possible. Euro 3 is really hard to pass anyway:( In Germany the road tax you have to pay is calculated by the displacement and the emissions (worse emissions=you have to pay more tax), and therefore many car owners are interested in retrofit catalytics, that allow the car to pass with better emission values. So did the MKIII-Owners in Germany, as the stock-MKIII does only pass Euro 1. They asked the cat-producer http://www.gat-kat.de/ to develop a cat for the MKIII to pass Euro 2, but they needed 30 confirmed owners, that would buy the retrofit kit. Maybe you could try to contact a British cat-developer (unfortunately I don't know of any:() or one from the European mainland to develop cats for the VVt-i Supra. But you will still need to find an amount of definite buyers, that will buy the kit (maybe together with the full model report). So long
  5. Hey! Sorry to hijack that thread (what's the progress on doing the model report anyway?). I was wondering about whether all VVt-i Twin Turbos do have the same catalytics. From what I know, the Japanese government passed a newer emission regulation, that took effect in 2000. So did any changes happen to the post-2000 Supras (the Supra was produced until June 2002) regarding emissions and detoxifiying exhaust gases? Could anyone with access to the Toyota EPC check whether there are more catalytics with different part numbers? (I know, decatting is usually the way to go, but anyway;)) Thanks so far, guys and gals:)
  6. A 02' RZ-S? that's something I could die for And of course an awesome retrim *thumbsup*

    Fog lights

I've seen such holes a couple of times, but do really all J-Specs have them?

    Fog lights

UK-Specs have a different rear bumper? What's the difference then? The space for the number plate is the same I think?
  9. Hmm: http://www.toyota-forum.de http://www.mkiv.de http://www.supra4ever.de http://www.supra-forum.de But I guess your friend won't have any luck finding a 6-Speed in Germany:(

    3D Supras

guys, these 3D-Models are plain bad, and not worth a penny! Get yourself ZModeler (http://www.zmodeler2.com/), the first Version, not ZM2! Then download this add-on car for GTA:VC. Import the .dff-File into the ZModeler and Voila, a 3D-Model you can play around with. It's mesh is a thousand times better then any of those you can buy, and the best: It's for free! Yet I don't get what you want to do with it? /e Sorry, fixed the link
  11. Don't think this is the MKIV-Successor, as it's the Lexus LF-A, but they probably compared it's handling to the MKIV, here's another pic that would prove this theory. The dealer plate on this one spotted on the Nürburgring is the same like on the very last test mule in the video. And anyway, it's pretty unlikely that a MKIV meats the so-called MKIV-Successor just by chance, in'it? Cheers, Paul
  12. Hey miky! This might be one for ya': http://occasions-particuliers.caradisiac.com/toyota-supra-0-1126206.htm Located in Bordeaux, France and therefore not as far away from Spain as Germany is. 6-Speed, and on the pictures it's looking quite well taken care of, at least the interior. The extrerior might need some polishing;) The price is more then OK IMHO
  13. Indeed. LOL. Nah, just kidding, a Supra belongs into the hands of someone who can cherish what he has, just like you do:) The indicators of the US-Supras are yellow/orange allready.
  14. About US-Cars: In case the Spanish registering laws are the same like in the rest of the EU, you won't need to change the rear lights, as they have an E-Marking, you would just have to add a rear foglight or follow these instructions to to convert two brake lights into fog lights. The front lights have to be changed, as the genuine US' don't have an E-Marking. There might be some other conversions that would have to be made, but all just tiny bits, don't know whether there are any special import regulations in Spain though. About German cars: About 75% of the German Supras are A/T, so it's damn hard to find a M/T at all. Anyway, don't buy one from Germany, there are only 312 MKIV's left in Germany, and the number is rapidly decreasing Btw: The Supra you were looking at. Did you have a look at the papers? Is it also an import from Gemany? 27k €isactually a good price for a M/T in mainlandEurope, as they go usually for 30k

    Germany

Hey! In principle the Autobahns are unrestricted. But anyway there are many parts, that are restricted to usually 120kph, indicated by a stationary speed sign. Furthermore there are electric speed signs that are showing a restriction based on the current traffic situation, fog etc. http://www.adac.de/images/282_m_tcm8-73895.gif This sign indicates no restriction. Another point you should consider, is to take a first-aid kit and a warning triangle, as they are compulsory. Cheers, Paul
  16. Thanks so far:) The values are in gramme/kilometer, don't think a very common unit. Is there any factor to vonvert the values? Sorry, I'm not very into physics
  17. Thanks, I'm trying my best:D I'm pretty sure someone must now a definite answer, otherwise I wouldn't have asked, would I? I don't know much about the registration process in the U.K., maybe the Euro 3 regulation is not common at yours. These are the limit values: CO: 2.3 HC: 0.2 NOx: 0.15 They're pretty low and I don't think that Toyota Japan changed much about the exhaust cleaning system cats etc. between the 1993 and 2001/02 models, therefore I guess it's a damn tough job, but maybe I'm wrong. Please someone proof me I'm wrong:D
  18. Good day to the UK! I'm pretty curious about how hard it is getting a J-Spec Supra legalized in Germany, especially a post '01 model. All cars registered the first time after January 1st 2001 must conform with the Euro 3 regulations. Does anyone know if the 2JZ-GTE VVt-i is under the limit values, or at least know the average emission values? If it does not, how hard would it be to lower the emissions by modifying the ECU and the exhaust? Another requirement is OBD-II. Do all Post-97 models have it? Looking forward to the answers:) Thanks btw. Sorry for my poor English:innocent:
