Hi Mate, i`m at Tattershall out near Woodhall Spa but i work at Siemens Gas Turbines at the research and development site down at Firth Road behind Comet so i can bring the car in to work one day this week if you want.

I`m guessing 37 thou, imperial. 40 thou is equal to 1mm.

Matt, no problem at all about asking people their views on my car. I welcome open criticism, its healthy when trying to sell a car. As i have already mentioned to you i think my car has been lowered too far but generally it is mint and i have treated it better than i treat the missus. As for mileage, 6 cylinder cars are good for astronomical mileages. I`d went for a higher mileage car as it is more likely to be genuine and i believe high performance cars are better for use than sat up with rubber bushes perishing and valve stem seals hardening. But each to their own. I`ve also already said you should look at a few cars instead of just mine and please feel free to have anyone look at my car, no problem at all. Hope this helps.

Thanks Steve i`ll give that a go and Autotrader as well i think. Ta.

Where would people recommend that i advertise the car with the most positive results. Autotrader, Top Marques, Findit?????

Many thanks for that mate. I may be sorted as i`ve has a couple of PM`s offering assistance. Ta Dave

I need a peculiar size fridge freezer, help!

Is it not just from the overflow pipe on the expansion tank particuarly if its under hard driving situations?

Here is a pic out of my Japanese Supra brochure. It is not a very good photo but it looks like a box in the floor? for gloves. Also a photo of facelift dash with a button underneath the righthand vent for the electrically folding mirrors. Never seen one with that, here cometh a hundred posts of we`ve all got that bar you!

I love them. You can`t compare them to a Supra as its a supercar. Cramped? Didn`t know if you noticed but its not a family car . When you drive one of these you need to make sure it has at least over 5000 miles on the clock as they are a very tight engine up till then and even if you rag them it doesn`t feel like its going anywhere. You are better off test driving an older model with some miles under its belt as it will be a different beast. As for the twitchiness i think i`d describe it as direct. They really are good through the twisties. This may be all well and good but i may be biased as these are my parents cars below.

I think its 12mm but i`d have to double check that for you in the morning. I also have this proper tool but its crap.

Yes, that was what i was trying to explain. The easiest solution is to use a knuckle bar (breaker bar) that is half inch drive and to buy an allen key socket to fit.
-
I feel like i`m talking to myself. Anyway here`s some engine bay shots but sorry they were taken by my mobile phone. Also forgot to mention that i fitted a GReddy turbo timer as soon as i bought the car so its always been cooled down correctly and waited for the turbos to stop spinning.

Did you not get my PM or do you have different wheel nuts to me?

To Mike who mailed me, your return email keeps bouncing back to me mate. Thankyou for the interest from people today but unfortunately i`m not really looking for trade-ins. I`ve done this a few times before and always come out a loser. I have a Skoda Felicia that is my normal car so a trade-in would be an extra car to get rid of. Sorry about that. Thanks Dave

Not even a sniff yet!

Oops. Pics, knew there was something. Private plate not included by the way.

Forgot, retaxed last week and MOT till January. Failed its last MOT on a ball joint, that was all. Had a new wishbone at not far off of £400 to cure it. I think that`s it. Probably forgot something though. Cheers Dave

Ok people, i`ve lived the dream, and although I really can`t afford this car it has been treated better than the missus. If its needed anything its had it. 1994 J-Spec Twin Turbo Manual 6 Speed Veilside rear spats Lowered on Bilstein Yellow Dampers and Tein springs 19" Wheelmania Pacifics Boost at 1.2 Bar Sard Boost Guage Veilside gear knob Blitz Nur Spec exhaust Alpine stereo, expensive one! Uprated speakers all round. Genuine black Supra mats Apexi inductions kits HKS SSQV dump valve The car has just turned 151,000 kms. You`d never guess the mileage as it pulls so strongly and smoothly. Last week the following was carried out: New spark plugs New braided hoses fitted Calipers checked New grooved discs all round New pads Motul RBF600 brake fluid put in Mobil One Motorsport oil put in on oil change New oil filter Gearbox oil changed with proper V160 oil Diff oil changed with Silkolene Race oil Coolant changed with proper Toyota coolant Clutch fluid changed 2 x rear Goodyear Eagle F1`s The cambelt was changed 5000 kms ago with a genuine Toyota belt by Chris Wilson who also gave it the once over and sorted a few jobs on it. Two weeks ago the car was resprayed apart from the bumpers and bonnet as when the sun was out you could see swirl marks in the paint. It also had a new tailgate as the old one had a small rust patch on. I love this car as it is my dream car and the spec i`ve always wanted. But alas I now owe the bank alot of money and once the car is sold it will take me 2 years to pay off what i`ve spent on it. So please no timewasters as my poor heart won`t take it. Its a lovely car so feel free to ask any questions or come and look. I have 2 more weeks of insurance and then it runs out and i can`t afford to renew. The car is now sat up as i can`t afford to run it any further so the service work is fresh. This car is ready to run straight out of the box. £10,000 or very very nearest offer.

Don`t thank me till you`ve seen it. What i may think to be useful may be crap in other peoples eyes. Anyway must get on, got the brakes to finish and spark plugs to fit tonight, oh, and photograph it all

Oops sorry. Yes the cars for sale and any information is obviously free I was going to have a word with Ian C about sending the info to you anyway as that seems a logical step. I also have to change the spark plugs so that will be in as well. Wish someone had already done a guide as it took a little while last night to work out how to release the rear shoes to replace the rear discs. Easy when you know how to access the tension wheel though It`ll be a few weeks before i can get it written up. When its done feel free to make suggested changes to better it or tell me i`ve got things wrong, it`s there to be perfected. Thanks everyone.

A kind of manual, but only as a guide as i can`t profess to be an expert, but sometimes it just takes a few pics and a quick explanation to give the confidence to take the extra step. I did the same thing on how to do a cambelt change for the GTti Club and it was very well received. Seeing as there is a few then i shall carry on. The car will be finished for the weekend and i`ll get it all wrote up in the next few weeks.

Hi guys, i`m half way through doing a full service on the Supra. I`ve been trying to catalogue how i`ve been doing it and taking photos to make up a document on how to tackle the service jobs. I`ve nearly completed fitting braided hoses, new discs and pads. I was planning on burning it to a disc and sending it to a more technically minded person to edit and then maybe get it put in the technical section or something on here. Just as guide for people who feel they`d like to undertake these smaller jobs themselves. I`m hoping to cover: Brake hose, disc and pad renewal Oil change Coolant change Gearbox oil change Diff oil change Clutch fluid change The dilemma is that i`m trying to get it finished for JAE so i can have it up for sale but it is slowing me down considerably taking photos of these items as i go along. Would this information be of use to anyone or am i wasting my time?

It really isn`t a day to be talking politics and you`ll never all agree anyway. I just want to say that my deepest sympathies go out to the families of the people killed and to the injured and how proud I am of our emergency services who carried on their work regardless of their own safety. It takes a brave person to go into a dark smokey hole to help people out when you`re unaware if there is another bomb waiting to go off.
