  1. Shame you missed Tim's one as that was a gunmetal VVTI tip but was sold about 6 months ago. I was lucky and picked mine up from a dealer - probably the last one still being held by a dealer - also 6 months ago. They do come up every now and then and being a little trickier to mod engine wise are less likely to have mods. A kit shouldn't put you off buying one - you could replace it with standard parts for very little money and sell the kit - probably making a profit overall.
  2. Do such things exist? edit... side indicators Nick
  3. I bought two and the dog ate one. An expensive dinner. If anyone else has a single one kicking around then let me know!!!
  4. Yes!!!! Into London? There was a crane broken down in the middle lane up past Hangar Lane on the way in. Seriously slow going.
  5. Chill!! It's a six speed, it's in a nice colour and it's at a good price. Should have no problems selling it and if I didn't have one already I'd probably buy it. Nick
  6. I feel like I spend half my life on the A40!
  7. Didn't you add the Veilside front a few months back mate? I'd consider editing the original post.
  8. Toyota recommend changing every 5 years. Not sure what the alternative mileage recommendation is though. Of course, despite taking my prev supe to Toyota for servicing, it was only after 6 years without change that they said to me - you know we normally recommend changing this every 5 years on the Supra - helpful.
  9. I sold the car to Francis having had it a year. I would definitely say £14-15k for 6-spd with that on the clock.
  10. Calipers too bright? Loud music gives you a headache? Can't understand the fascination with text messaging? ...
  11. And now to bed!!!!!!!!! One piece of advice on the decals is not to "wet apply them" - I tried this on a couple and it was very tricky to peel off the tape on top of them. Much better to apply to dry surface.
  12. First, masked up and painted + hubs done in black...
  13. Ok, here goes with some pics....
  14. Reckon I get a similar amount - over 250 easily if cruising. When putting foot down fuel gauge goes in opposite direction to rev counter!!
  15. I have found a set of these in my car. 20 wheel nuts + key. They're the narrow ones that you need if you have alloys with narrow slots that the stock nuts don't fit in to. Open to offers but they're reasonably heavy so will check what postage will be.
  16. Here ya go... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=17672 I thought about doing this but in the end decided just to go for masking tape. I put a line of masking tape down the back of the caliper too which gave me a line to paint to. People have used hammerite on the calipers so this should def be fine on the hubs. Not sure about spray paint... anyone else?
  17. I used a wire brush. BTW you definitely need to wire brush the calipers also before you paint them. Most hubs have quite a lot of rust sitting on them and to remove it all would require some serious rubbing so I just smoothed mine off. Once you have wire brushed everything there will be a lot of dust everywhere so you need to clean up really well before painting. Worth doing it outside or with dust mask on. I'll post up photos of mine tonight... used black Hammerite smooth on the hubs.
  18. I dunno how other people managed this in 2 1/2 hours!! It took me about an hour and a half to put masking tape on, then 4 hours to paint the calipers and drums at the back (3 coats on calipers, 2 on drums). That's 5 and a half, + jacking up, wheels off, searching for wheel nut key etc!! Think I'll stick to the day job! Anyway, all done now. Decals to put on tomorrow then will be finished. Photos to come. One other thing. No-one has mentioned the torture of having to sit in the most uncomfortable positions ever in order to do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Toyota recommend every 5 years but not sure what the mileage recommendation is.
  20. Thanks very much!!!!! Will post up when they're done on Sunday... Nick
  21. Is there any chance of a couple of white arrows on the photo with a "paint this bit" and a "whatever you do don't paint this bit"....???????????????????///////
  22. Yup it's J-Spec. SO..... Any help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
