    Friday Joke 3

So there's more than one son?
  2. And tinted windows!! Which is the first thing I have done on mine which is why I need to go back one to stock!!
  3. Eat creatine. Your kidneys may not last but you will have big muscles!
  4. Surely that's just traffic and you can buzz them on the inside lane?
  5. Does anyone have any pics of a stock facelift black sup? I managed to erase mine and was hoping to do a catalogue as I add parts to mine. I've searched quite a bit but no luck - even on my hard disk which has several hundred pics!! nickyboy
  6. Also after boost gauge. Does anyone know if the blitz ac ones http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/2003/gauges.html are mechanical or electronic?

    is this a scam?

Had similar e-mails when selling my car - def scam, but don't forget that these guys are great for amusing e-mail banter. You can e-mail them pretty much anything about what you're selling and they say it sounds great and they definitely want to buy it. Well it amused me anyway.
  8. Very occassionally if I tried to start immediately after switching the immobiliser off it would not start. It always started straight after though on the second turn of the key. Sanjay gave me an explanation that I can't remember so I'd pay him a visit. Let me know if you don't have his details but they should be on the certificate of installation. It's right next to Pinner station so shouldn't be any more than half an hour to get there although the entrance is completely concealed so it's tricky to find. BTW the battery is only a few months old so shouldn't be any probs there. Nick
  9. Just a quick one if anyone has a second... I'm trying to sell some alloys that I've got in my garage off an old car I had (Peugeot 306) and was wondering if anyone knows any sites that have a wheel selector that you can choose the car and alloys on to generate a picture as I have somehow lost all my pics of my car. Tried photoshopping but wasn't really happening and googled with no success. Any ideas appreciated!!! Cheers.
  10. That sounds about right - I used to get 400miles for a tank driving economically - I found that the MPG doesn't necessarily drop that much because of town driving but more because you can't resist giving the accelerator a little squeeze every now and then!
  11. It's all been said before but UK-spec is normally easier/cheaper to insure. Esp with Elephant/Norwich Union etc
  12. Now we're talking. Hope you don't mind waiting a few months for me to make a few tweaks to the performance. Nothing major - alloy valve caps, mobile phone holder - that sort of thing...
  13. Always find it difficult to choose wheels but preferably going to go for ones that would still look good even if I went for a respray down the line to a deep silver like below. Shopping list so far is: 1. New boot release 2. "beep beep this vehicle is reversing" mod 3. Nur-spec 4. Wheels
  14. You're right - boot release works with someone lifting the boot at the same time as someone lifting the release! And no - the wheels won't be on it long!!
  15. Speed wise I haven't really had a chance to test it out yet but the auto box changes v smoothly and at pretty low revs. What makes it all worthwhile though is the beeping while reversing that I would like to have modified to include "this vehicle is reversing".
  16. sorry mate! i couldn't resist. I'm sure we can still arrange something if you win the lottery!
  17. Agree!! I dunno what the ones on it are but they don't look so good. Maybe I'd be better off with some alloy hubcaps from Halfords
  18. Hi, After selling the UK-spec a few weeks ago I'm back with a '99 VVTI tiptronic thanks to Tristan at http://www.torque-imports.co.uk . Haven't had a chance to take pics yet so here are some from their site. Nick
  19. I think cars normally look better with tints. My question would be dark on the back and sides and mid on the front sides or mid all round??
  20. Any VVTI owners know if it is any different for the VVTI? Nick
  21. Hi, Quick question on imports as thinking of buying one... if you don't have a service book (or do have a jap one), what do you get stamped when you have it serviced? I've seen the links to mkiv.com for the maintenance schedule, but is there anything simpler that just has Aservice - oil change - Aservice - oil change - Bservice - you get the picture????????? Nick
  22. wings on mine had been resprayed too.
  23. Looking again, the skirts are a definitely bit funny, but if I was given the second pic, I'd say yes!
  24. No the silver one!!! Wheels on the blue one don't look too bad - bit scratched but nothing a recon wouldn't fix so you should sell them easily
