  1. Shoot them Pete, especially the mongrel, they're just a pest. You can get a lovely meal out of them too
  2. Cool, thanks Steve, appreciate the offer! Looks like the storage is sorted now, my father has found a unit in an old chicken shed (it's massive, bigger than my house - the unit that is!) for only £3 a week
  3. Right place, right time. It was actually offered up on the forum Thanks for the interest, but off
  4. £830, are they gold plated? Completely ridiculous price!
  5. Something like this? http://www.alexgoss.com/Le%20Mans/Le%20Mans%202005/The%20Drive%20Home/slides/DSC_4983.jpg
  6. It was free Unfortunatly the engine install is at least 4 months away, I'm only building the rest of the shell now ready to get it shipped to its new home in Gloucester. My house is going up for sale in a few weeks so the project will go on hold until I'm settled in Glolucester Lol, to be honest it's probably cost a little more than that due to the petrol used to pick parts up, but £500 is about right.
  7. Thats cheap Chris, it even beats Nic's price!
  8. Any suggestions? I like the way their thumbnail thing works The speed is good for me here, didn't realise it was bad for others
  9. They arrived yesterday, many thanks Mark To everyone else, I'll be sorting out the remaining over the next week
  10. Had a ton more parts turn up over the past two days Todays job was to replace the drivers side rear suspension; while at Phoenix the original had been swapped out with those from a damaged car, leaving the following 'bent' items on the car: - Upper wishbone - Lower rear arm (the one the shock connects to - Trailing arm - Warped hub - Damaged drop link - Bent driveshaft (unable to remove from hub - wish I'd know about this before as I could have sourced a spare while at QSD ) The brake disc was missing along with the handbrake shoes and mechanism. Here's how it arrived: http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/1403/rearhubbeforekg3.th.jpg With all the faulty stuff removed: http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/5933/rearhubduringim1.th.jpg And now reassembled. Handbrake cable was replaced too, however I still need to source a driveshaft and drop link: http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/6356/rearhubafterra7.th.jpg The stock skirt and vent panels were also fitted today, but have revealed a problem on the passenger side. The car has taken a hit on the sill and pushed a 2 foot section of the outer sill in about 1 cm, so now the door appears to 'stick out' at the bottom. Will just leave it how it is for now. Too dark for photos, so will try and post up some pics tomorrow.
  11. Had a brief chat with the owner, who seemed to know me! Didn't catch a name but he said he was a member here. Lovely looking car, fantastic condition!
  12. Spotted again in Reading this evening. Big bloke driving.
  13. Me, but you can have the ashtray if you want it
  14. It's different, the aero has the extra mounts near the rear seat for the aero top to fit into the boot. I have a hardtop boot carpet and it doesn't fit around those mounts
  15. Balls! It wasn't me sir! This is as it turned up. As with 90% of the car, if only people had taken a little more care removing parts it would have saved weeks worth of work and not to mention cost Think I need to spend another £50 on fuel to visit the yard again... So much has been butchered needlessly
  16. Sorry for the quality, it was taken in the dark on a phone camera The "thread" from the sensor is pulled out about 4 inches. I think it's been killed Can anyone confirm?
  17. Eh? I'd buy it provided you can make it turn up Wayne

    2 questions to ask!

Indeed The limit on my car I beleive was 6850rpm, so you'd need over 6920rpm limit to reach 200mph on a manual with around 550bhp. That and a VERY long track with cold weather and a nice down hill bit towards the end Edit - I don't think mine would have made 200mph even with a raised rev limit, it had no more to give when it hit the limiter.
  19. I'll take the gearstick surround please
  20. As mentioned on the phone... If that mileage I saw on your car was correct then it's probably the lowest mileage on any Supra in the UK (even beats the Do-Luck one!) The engine shouldn't go pop any time soon. As you're not planning anything beyond BPU for the forseeable future I'd either opt for a stock clutch, or a very mildly uprated aftermarket one such as the HKS street. There's just no point going for a seriously uprated one at BPU level, especially due to the heavier pedal and harsher engagement you'll get.
  21. He was in 4th when he went over the line, so either has a very special diff or enormous rev limit (probably both!)

    2 questions to ask!

I can't recall the top gear ratio on the auto, but the diff on the auto has a much lower final drive than the 6spd which has a lot more to do with these top speeds.
  23. Yes, the AFR's were always a bit strange on idle (reading MUCH richer than it should have). After the "final" mapping session with Ryan everything pointed to a dodgy wideband sensor as it was not inline with the AFR's Ryan was getting on his gauge. I recall that since the sensor was replaced the gauge now matches Ryans one, so it's impossible to know whether the current problems were present before Sorry if you've already answered, but does the PFC flag up any det warnings on boost after it's starting the lean idle thing? It was always okay on boost and only occasionally flagged a det warning on VERY high load (This was in the middle of summer with high intake temps).
