  1. Very good pictures! Please don't modify the body
  2. Thanks for the comments guys, it's going to take a LOT more work to get this thing moving again! Don't worry about timelines Jon, it's going to storage in the next month due to a house move so can wait for your brakes to become available
  3. Thats horrible! It looks like one of those ultra cheap malaysian cars! On first glance I thought someone had photoshopped the rear into an unhappy face, but no, thats actually what it looks like
  4. IIRC there was some legal issue with LED lights when the Supra was released in the UK (something about them not being allowed). It meant that the centre rear brake strip was not approved so they were either disonnected (early models) or replaced with blank plates (mid models), or had working ones (late models)
  5. Thats the only way to do it properly
  6. Thanks mate, much appreciated. For now it looks like there's enough spare, there was a complete set with the replacement hubs from Jezz. If not, I'll be in touch
  7. I think thats going to be the only way. I used a 2 foot breaker bar on it but only maanged to start bending things! The handbrake mechanism would snap way before this is going to move. The past history of the car means the driveshaft is going to rather well secured to the hub! Interested in the spare bits though mate, lets talk
  8. New problem, but still on the same subject... I'm trying to undo the nut that secures the diveshaft to the hub (Passenger side this time), however I cannot shift this thing. I tried bracing the hub using two of the studs, but that only bent the studs! Any idea please folks? Stick a wheel on and drop it to the ground? http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/8863/rearhubtf0.th.jpg
  9. Just to confirm, the UK and Jpsec handbrake drum assembly is exactly the same
  10. You can get generic ones from Halfords for about £12 but they need a bit of bodging to fit, the Supra one from Toyota is about £25.
  11. Oh and one final pic is proof of how long it's been since this was last on the road! http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/7934/taxdisckb5.th.jpg
  12. Have you tried the single player yet James? The reviews I've read were pretty mixed, the consensus seemed to be that it was okay as a game, but a little disapointing.
  13. Got a few more jobs done today. Some went well, one not so well! Terry mentioned that the paint & body guy next to Phoenix might have the original door barels from the car. Dropped by there the other day and sure enough, he still had them! Replaced them today, so now have a single key for the whole car (and it's now able to be locked!) Fitted the rear hatch struts (Thanks to Jezz for the fast delivery). Most would think this a quick an easy job, but it's not! All the interior panels have to come out to be able to fit the two nuts to the underside. It's done now, so hopefully the interior doesn't have to come out again. This is what has to come out to get to the nuts: http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/6857/interiorremovedzn6.th.jpg And all refitted: http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/764/gasstrutssg7.th.jpg Next was to fit the newly black dyed roof lining. Dying this was a major PITA, the car had a small electrical fire a few years ago which seemed to have caused some damage to the fibres, also it'd been sat removed, gathering dust for years so they were very dirty. Couldn't get them fully clean before dying so it's not perfect, but will do. One of the bolts holding the roof panel in was frozen and eventually resorted to using a breaker bar to shift it! Thankfully it came loose without damaging the thread Rear: http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/5112/rooflinerrearzq5.th.jpg Front (The sunvisors need replacing, they were in poor condition): http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/3681/headliningfrontmh6.th.jpg And roof back in (not a lot to see here really ). The centre section needs another coat of dye, but now the roof comes off its an easy job. http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/4225/headliningiz2.th.jpg Also made a start on the rear passenger side hub. The cause of the loose studs became apparent after removing the disc - the thread on the hub had sheered on most of the bolts and the studs had been welded in place. The welds had snapped on two of the studs (one of them fell out completely). The handbrake mechanism had also failed on one side, causing the whole shoe assembly to move around inside the drum. Would like to have gotten further but can't seem to remove the large bolt in the middle that secures the driveshaft... http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/8863/rearhubtf0.th.jpg A pic with the side panels now fitted, still waiting to hear whats happening with the lights! http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/7/updatedsuppf7.th.jpg
  14. As title (and not just the blub!) Condition not important.
  15. Non-leatherette type please, colour and condition not important but must not be ripped/badly worn Need the screws to fix it and the clips on each
  16. Think I have one without the airbag somewhere... will take a look tomorrow
  17. The agreed value is worth it's weight in gold IMO It's pretty cheap to have (so long as you're an existing customer) and provides a huge reassurance if the worse should happen.
  18. Oh ****, hope thats not Michael
  19. Would love to have something like that for the odd track day, classic
  20. Well I did the headlining but it didn't turn out too good It probably didnt help that Dudes car had a minor electrical fire which desposited a great deal of smoke damage to the lining panels. I couldn't clean it off and now it shows through dispite 5 dye applications Ah well, it's still 10 times better than before! I have about 3.5 litres left so will mark 2.5 litres for Paul and whoever wants the rest can let me know
