  1. Due to the potential large numbers involved (and hence members cash), this requires hobbyist membership before going ahead. I'm in discussions with Scott to start the process, but in the mean time the thread is locked.
  2. Nice work Rob! They're sure look better Wish I'd kept them now!
  3. Due to the bad weather and a busy few weeks at work I've not had much time to spend on the car. However, got the lights fitted and wired up this evening (Thanks to P111ddy for dropping these off today and supplying them for an incredible price ) http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5215/image375kl7.th.jpg http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/7601/image373oe5.th.jpg The fronts need a refurb so seeing as the weather bad might give that a go this week. Edit: Total budget so far: £454.98

  5. You said so in one of your first posts. I really love the car in the first pics you posted, it's the same look I'm aiming for with my current car (except de-wipered, debadged, de-aerial, etc & larger wheels to house some big brake calipers)
  6. It looks fine how it did, the only thing I'd suggest is either a set of stock 17inch alloys, or even a set of Lexus 18inch ones. They would look superb on a stock silver car. Maybe get some facelift or UK headlights along with replaceing the orange blobs on the front wings. Your money it much better spent on these mods rather than making it look like a half painted chav mobile (all IMO, no offence intended ) Or to give a better ride height and improved handling some CW suspension? How about some decent brakes? Don't bother with silly body kits, get the car performing well first
  7. Welcome She' looked lovely until the carbon bonnet I just don't understand why you would want to do that to the car Expensive part, no positive benefit (a few negative ones though!) and makes it look like you can't afford to paint it.
  8. The stock fuel system for the NA is more than capable, any gains you would make would be on head/exhaust work. It's been discussed to death on here, there's a few very interesting posts from the last couple of years if you search hard. The main reason people don't bother with any real mods on the NA is it's incredibly expensive to get small gains.
  9. Same day as the Supra club day in the South, should be a good day to discuss dyno results on the forum
  10. The link for the TomTom software SimonB posted seems to be working well
  11. For the price it'll cost to post it'll only be a couple of quid more to get a new (uprated) one from Mr T
  12. Thanks for the tip Michael, ordered mine on Friday and it arrived registered delivery this morning (I only paid for standard 5 day delivery). Seems like a nice little bit of kit, incredible VFM!
  13. I have one spare, but to be honest you're best off getting the revised one from Mr T, they're cheap
  14. Are the mirrors white or silver? Think I'm going blind!
  15. Provided you're below a certain income and do not need limited liability, the tax benefits of a sole trader business can be far greater than those of a limited company. But thats by no means a hard and fast rule
  16. You're the guy who asked me to give free membership because £10 was a lot of money in SA? You do realise it'll cost upwards of £15k to build an engine capable of over 700bhp?

    Upgrading

Sorry, Nic, I replied but then edited to start nit-picking

    Upgrading

Spot on there Nic (except I would swap no.2 and no.4 in the order, and add the geometry check as a seperate item after the suspension is checked out) Get the car fullty sorted out, then think about upgrading. Believe me it costs a significant amount if you get things in the wrong order!

    HPI Check

Hmm, I just checked on that number Pabs and it says there's no record of this number on DVLA or police database DVLA confirmed a few weeks ago it was on their database and the plate was verified against the chassis number. Maybe it doesn't work if the plate has been changed in the past...

    HPI Check

Thanks Pabs. I've seen the adds for those but wasn't clear on the details they provide. I'd idealy like to know the last known mileage but you've confirmed they don't provide this. Nice one Steve, you have PM

    HPI Check

Another thread today reminded me to post this... I need to check the status of Dudes old car on the vehical register, primarily whether it's cat C or D. Also to see what sort of mileage it has (from the underneath it doesn't look like its done many miles) The problem is I still don't have the V5 as it can take ages for replacements to arrive. Does anyone know of any HPI checks that can be done on the reg/chassis number alone? The 'proper' HPI check asks for the V5 number which I don't have yet.
  22. No offense taken at all. It wouldn't be the the first time I've missed something completely obvious As far as I can tell it's just a standard nut, the one I took off the other side didn't have any collar on it.
