  1. It's also very important to have the boost pressure logged against the afr & rpm. It's pretty meaningless to map without knowing the boost. The EMB software can is capable of doing this. Surprised it hasn't gone bang with those afr's. Edit - looks like he's using the LM1 software rather than the EMB datalogging
  2. Congrats on getting it running, it's been a long time coming Hope you don't take this the wrong way, but one thing that stands out in you spec is the turbo choice. Why use such an old laggy turbo when there are far better ones available? It just seems a bit of a waste to have all the rest of it well specced but stick on an ancient truck turbo. Is this just a stepping stone to get it running?
  3. Unless I'm reading those graphs wrong it looks horribly lean. How much boost is it running and in what gear were those logs from?
  4. Looks like a chaved up POS to me There are much nicer ones are out there for similar if not slightly more money.
  5. You don't want to know about replacing the heater matrix (the bit that transfers heat from the cooling system to the interior). If it's leaking the coolant will end up in the passenger footwell It's a dashboard out job - the most complex and time consuming job you can do on a supra.
  6. It's not too difficult to remove the carpet so do that and see if anything is missing. Might also be worth driving it around a bit it it out and you'll find out where it's coming from. Hopefully it's not the matrix, but more than likely a loose bung or leak in the dorr card plastic.
  7. If it's not broke, don't fix it
  8. I wouldn't recommend one if you are still using an original stock radiator. The cooling system pressure is raised significantly and in quite a few cars the dreaded hairline cracks have started appearing in the top of the rad a short time after fitting one. This has happened on cars with 10yr+ old radiators. They're pointless IMO
  9. Thats a valid point Steve The impact wasn't a hard one, I glanced off the front of her car so there was no 'sudden stop' involved. The airbag didn't even go off. I doubt I was doing much more than 20mph when it happened. My neck was a little stiff last night, but that was probably more due to adrenaline after the crash and standing in the cold for an hour. I felt absolutely fine this morning and the rest of the day, just a little pain in my knee and elbow from the bruises. I've had much worse after a weekend working on the supra
  10. Ah, then you might be alright. If it's got a good very low range box you should be okay, but try and get any major roots out (or at least loose) before going in with the bucket. I've broken a couple of FEL's in my teenage years
  11. A very small drag plough should be enough to get compacted soil broken up well enough to be removed with the bucket. A old single spade one can be picked up for very little (anywhere from £20-£100)
  12. If it's grassy surface and has relatively loose soil underneath you might be okay with a FEL bucket, however it wouldn't be a good idea to try this on heavily compacted soil. The tree roots would be a real problem and would put a LOT pf pressure on the hydraulics. They're not really supposed to be used for digging Do you have any way of breaking up the soil a little beforehand?
  13. Thanks again folks Got the hire car sorted for one week, so should have transport until next Friday. Unfortunatly as it's very likely the car will be written off I will have to hand the car back as soon as they send a cheque. This means I will be without a car for the easter weekend.. the time when I'm suposed to be visiting my sister and father in hospital (and also hopefully seeing my new niece) Now thats what I call club spirit! She's with Direct Line, they have been superb so far. Very professional on the phone and sorted out a courtesy car in an hour of contacting me. NIG (through Sky) were helpful at the beginning getting the car recovered but today were absolutely shocking on the phone. One person I spoke to was possibly the rudest person I've ever encountered at a call centre Sorry mate, but this sort of thing really gets on nerves. Frivolous injury claims are one of the reasons we're having to pay more for car insurance now than ever. Apart from a couple of bruises I wasn't hurt at all. What was amazing today was that everyone I spoke to said I should make a claim for personal injury (3 people at the hire car company and even one at NIG - presumably because it was the other company paying). Even the Direct Line person seemed surprised when I said I was fine. haha "The engine just flew out the bonnet, couldn't find it anywhere!"
  14. Silver supra spotted by my father in Newent today
  15. 9AM this morning her insurance were on the phone, they accepted liability without even asking any questions. I'm even getting a hire car (Golf) delivered to my door in the next hour I guess they were worried about being sued for an injury claim? Thankfully I feel absolutely fine this morning - just a coule of bruises to show for it!
  16. The freezer trick can really work, it's saved one drive in the past for me (and also for some mates)
  17. The larger one certainly isn't there on a 6spd TT. I can take a look tomorrow at the auto loom and see if it's there.
  18. Don't get me wrong mate, was just wondering if you normally get through this many motors. If you hear of any very cheap NA's, let me know pls
  19. She lives 10 houses up the road, so know where to find her
  20. I can almost picture that Thanks Jon I didn't get the reg plate, but she was pretty clear that she was fully comp insurance (with Direct Line). I'll speak to Sky tomorrow and see what they say about a hire car. Will be in touch tomorrow mate
  21. Inevitable really Do you normally get through this many cars Andy?
  22. Now that I think about it, she didn't have her indicator on either LOL @ H
  23. Some more pics of the road. Whats the general consensus on fault? I think it's her fault, there was nothing I could have done to avoid her.
  24. Here's what happened (MS Paint is not a core skill!)
  25. Cheers guys Lol, that cheered me up The inner wing is folded up so can't see it being worth repairing, the car isn't worth very much even though it was mint. She was in a Y reg megane, the whole front was caved in but she still managed to drive it home... Turns out she live 10 doors away!
