  1. The aero does have some extra bracing already (see pic). One of the local guys I spoke to (He builds cages for various different motorsports) said front or rear braces alone would do very little to stiffen the chassis. The ONLY way to make a real difference is to add strenght across the roof, i.e a full weld in cage.
  2. Nearly everything was changed over from the UK car, subframes, dashboard, interior looms, all the buttons, UK leather seats, Cruise, etc. He didn't change the exterior lights as they were facelift. Yep, thats him
  3. Ah cool, I know the car very well indeed then It was nice to drive and the conversion Brad did was excellent, no corners cut at all. The NA shell originally belonged to Ark off here. It's a genuine car gents, it's not a UK spec, but is a genuine 97 NA aero (would need to be declared a TT conversion for insurance purposes).
  4. Is this Brad's old car? If it was it's a '97 facelift NA auto aero with the entire drivetrain, loom, etc from his wrecked UK 6spd installed
  5. Fingers crossed they don't mess about, but we'll see! It's been a week since the crash and I've had no problems at all with my neck, it only hurt on the evening but has been fine since. The bruises are more of less gone now and feel 100% healthy The impact speed couldn't have been more than 25mph, so was pretty minor, if it was 40+mph it would probably be a different story.
  6. Just did a check on Glass's: Trade-in - excellent: £641.00 Trade-in - average: £550.00 Dealer Retail price £1,570.00 Private Sale price: £1,470.00 Hmmm.... lets see what they offer Thanks Jon
  7. Thanks Jon If I reject their first offer (which I expect to be a p*ss take), do they still have to provide the hire car until we reach an agreement?
  8. Bringing this back on topic.. Had a call today to say the car will be written off, the repair cost was estimated at £4k! The other parties insurance company has been very good so far, they've extended my hire car cover for another week and upgraded it to a larger car (I mentioned I had planned to pick up some large car parts this weekend - which is true!) The assessor seemed quite a reasonable chap when I was speaking to him but he did say he has to use Glass's to provide a valuation He said that the car was in excellent condition and much lower mileage than is normal for these, so provided a 'favourable' valuation... I paid £1450 for the car 5 months ago. I cannot find similar spec/age car with low mileage anywhere to compare it to.. there are some larger engine ones for sale on auto trader, but with massive mileage for £1.5-£2k... What would be fair to accept as an offer for the car? I would be satisfied with getting back what I paid...

    PS3 games?

I nearly bought one the other day, but decided not to as I'm a big Gran Turismo fan. I've only ever bought these two games for my PS2! Plus the PS3 has blue ray so will save buying a seperate player in the future...

    PS3 games?

The prologue is a cut down version. Basically the same game, but with only a small percentage of the cars and tracks in the full version. It's a nice marketing ploy for them as many enthusiasts buy both...

    PS3 games?

If you've not played one in the series before, maybe try Grand Theft Auto 4, out in 5 weeks. I'm buying a PS3 just for that.
  12. The stock ones work well, so I'd stick with them And as Ian points out, get the car sorted out first before buying wheels. There are much more important areas your money should be spent.
  13. An engine bay respray can be done with the engine in situ. No idea on costs!

  15. It'll be pretty dead at 6.30 mate, I'll pop down and keep you company
  16. Bracknell Tyre's is a good place for well priced F1's.
  17. Apart from the massive turbo that was pretty much the same spec as Terry's car on the exhuast side. It really did sound like that, but with less compressor stall. Mine wasn't too far off either...
  18. Interesting, I wonder why your one has that extra cover behind the strut between the door pillars? Never seen that before.
  19. Let us know the date for the house warming party Bri
  20. I remember someone posting something similar before, but can't remember what they were for! There was a purpose for them (a very minor one)
  21. Can they be trimmed (like the front ones can)? When I got my last set of facelift rears they had the bulbs holders and loom included...
  22. Mines a bit stupid, but it helps at meets. For some reason members I've not before come and say hello with "You must be Homer". Not sure why
  23. Here you go pabs: http://supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=455245 On SF they call it 'rear seat delete', there's quite a few threads showing various methods.

    Attention!

I'm disgusted with some of the replies in this thread, totally uncalled for! Would some of you say things like this to women in real life? I think not. As it's started to get (or is already) out of hand the thread is now closed
  25. In that cas Jurgen, go for something German. I.e Audi RS models and M model BMW's
