  1. Thats terrible, even for Scooter! I liked some of his earlier stuff
  2. I have no plans to do anything with the body to be honest! It's in a bad state at the moment, every panel on the shell is dented, some very badly. It would need a complete overhaul and repaint to make it anywhere near decent and I'm not sure it's worth it on a Cat D. It would be far cheaper to transfer everything to a decent doner. I like the 'shed' look anyway Saves worrying about it getting dinged/scratched!
  3. Thats a good point A02B (Auto LSD) on initial setup. It's a bit of a concern too and will be a weak point. I know it's going to have to be changed at a later stage, so provided the crown wheel stands up to it and the gear ratio's work out the TRD one will be going in. Thats a long way off though!
  4. Great news Wez Is it as hard on the road as the JIC's were? Is this a custom setup Chris has done for you or are they the same spec srpings and dampers he normally fits with his suspension kit?
  5. Another little update... Removed the engine wiring loom so I can start dissecting it http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/8355/21image000jt1.th.jpg Also started fitting the PAS cooler pipes, didn't have time to remove the AC compressor (damn, those things are heavy!!). Once these are done the car is ready for the new engine http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/5533/21image001sw2.th.jpg Still waiting for a few bits to become available from other projects (prop, driveshafts, wing mirors, interior carpet...) but I now have pretty much everything except the diff, engine and gearbox.
  6. Here's a challenge for you all, can you help identify what each of the plugs in the pics below are for? 1. Connects to steering box, not sure what it does 2. Oil level sensor (I think, it attaches to the block) 3. Alternator 4. EGCV VSV or Wastegate VSV 5. EGCV VSV or Wastegate VSV 6. Narrowband O2 sensor 7. Water temp sensor for ECU 8. Probably autobox 42. possibly starter motor 43. possibly starter motor 44. The first pic shows the ones at the far end of the loom (go around the front of the engine). http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/7411/image006ct5.th.jpg And with more detail: http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/1707/image003up6.th.jpg http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/7117/image002hm8.th.jpg http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/6613/image005fd7.th.jpg The next set go over the top of the engine (obviously most are coil pack connectors): http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/6232/21image006iu0.th.jpg These are around the throttle bodle area (presumably TPS, etc) http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/2929/image009ok5.th.jpg I'm not sure where these are from exactly, but they are just down the loom from the throttle body ones above): http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/852/image013rn4.th.jpg These ones go to the ignitor, and something else? http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/1818/image014za3.th.jpg These I think go somewhere along the intake manifold (presuably injector related?): Two of the plugs are cut off (31 and 32) http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/4008/image015mg7.th.jpg The final set go around the back of the engine I think: http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/6884/image016hh6.th.jpg
  7. You have much the same as me Graham. I also invested in a tricep bar as there are quite a few exercises you can use these for. The major problem I find is that with a basic bench system you have no option for pull down exercises. I'm resigned to the fact that I need a multigym with a pulley system to get a proper home gym. Without it you'll be missing some key muscle groups. Exercise bike and rowing machine is plenty for the cardio side. Don't forget to install a TV and/or hifi system If possible also get a bench/multigym that allows you to do decline bench lifts, these are very important to build lower pecs. Without a decline press it's difficult to build pec muscles proportionately. It's another thing I'm missing on my gym! Good luck with it Graham, it can be extremely addictive (and rewarding) once you get into it
  8. Silver, full Veilside kit and shopping list down the doors. Driving slowly along the A419 around 1pm today in the rain. The car looked familiar, sure I've seen it before. I was in a Vectra (oh the shame!)
  9. I've seen it mentioned a few times on here that TRAC removal isn't advised for the auto's as it uses it to close the throttle between shifts (i..e smooth the change). It's 2nd hand info so not sure how correct it is.
  10. Excellent website! I've not had too many consoles (always been more interested in computers) - Intellivision (had some great games on that like Pitfall) - Sega Megadrive - PS2 - PS3
  11. Very tidy job there Gaz Edit - just realised this was a question, I thought that Trac removal was yours!
  12. I spent about £32k on my first supra, after 4 years of ownership it sold for £12k. Ouch.
  13. If the Downpipe is one from the HKS kit then no it will not fit. The HKS manifold has the turbo in a clocked position, the XS power one is not clocked so the flange to the 2nd decat will not line up.
  14. As above. Required for a T67dbb 6spd Cost effective price required!
  15. Although in reality I expect the plod would arrive a darn site quicker than the lot over there did!

    Recruiting

I'd absolutely love to go for a job working on specialist cars, unfortunately I don't think the salary would meet the mortgage requirements
  17. Sorry mate, I didn't explain too well... If you get the update your current save games *might* not be compatible with the updated version, meaning you may have to start again. The other option is to just not bother with the update, there was no explaination or bug list provided anyway!
  18. Dan Turner is not very well regarded here due to his shocking history of bad mapping and blown engines. I think Jamie is one of his few happy customers, there are plenty of very unhappy ones (See the ECU thread in Tech for example)
  19. Brave man, good luck! The HKS Ecu's aren't worth much at all due to the few people that can map them (and those that can tend to charge the earth and/or lock the map).
  20. Can't you hard wire it just for the updates? It'll play fine once the update is done. It has a warning that save games might not be compatible so don't get too carried away before getting it done.
