  1. Cheers Daman, just the man to ask I'm only using this for gaming and general things, nothing special. However I don't change the mainboard and CPU very often so would prefer to go as high end as affordable to make it last... Any reason to go for the 3570k over the 3770 other than cost? Benchmark wise it's about 1/3rd less powerful and only slightly cheaper, but I understand there's more to CPU's than benchmarks these days
  2. I have both those problems with my lawn this time of year! A good quality lawn fertiser usually sorts out the moss issue, Everygreen usually does the trick. One thing I have found is not to cut the grass so short before the winter, if you do the moss sets in very easily. Leave it longer and it won't have so much chance to grow. As for ants, I've been using generic ant powder, but needs to be re-done every week to keep the buggers away.
  3. Disk performance isn't such an issue, I'll probably move to an SSD for the OS at some point but there doesn't seem to much point at the moment as high transfer rate is my priority over access speed Cool, good to know the CPU and RAM are okay, I'd heard the sandybridge had some issues when it came out, so hope the Ivybridge is okay... Always thought G.Skill was a bit of a budget manufacturer, have you had any issues with the RAM being overclocked? Are you using any special cooling?
  4. Hey guys, bit of a question for the IT guys I'm looking at changing our my age old Intel 6750 system to a better one, have the following spec sized up but have a few queries.. CPU: Intel Core i7 3770 3.4GHz Socket 1155 8MB Mainboard: Asus P8Z77-V LX Socket 1155 Memory: G.Skill 8GB (2 x 4GB) TridentX DDR3 2400MHz DIMM 240-pin Rest of the system should be okay, 850w power, Asus GTX 560Ti, 2x 2TB 7200 drives I think the CPU is about the most powerful available for sensible money and is the new Ivybridge standard, however a mate suggested it may be worth waiting until DDR4 comes out, but I can't see any info when that's available, is it worth waiting for? The specs on it do seem good from the white papers.. Are there any better options for the RAM?
  5. That will be Dash Rendar, driving my old car. 6spd single, very nice it is too! The owner is a great chap as well
  6. Good thread Geo, I've been meaning to ask you for some advice since I'm started hitting the weights the last 3 months.. Not really sure what I'm doing at present but got down to a fairly lean 11st 13lb from 17+ before starting the weights. Back to around 12st 8lb now but really should seek some advice on routines!
  7. Cash waiting! Only the bumper itself needed, no fixings, etc. South of England if possible
  8. Never get on here much so didn't see this, £20 donated for this worthy cause
  9. Bump, still after a stock front bumper. May not need to be silver now as the car may be getting a re-spray.
  10. Nice one Jamie, you're a legend I'll be in touch to pick up (probably won't be until after Xmas) PM'd
  11. It looks like its cracked the backing too, but the light had previous damage and the bulb holder isn't very secure now. I'll have a closer look tomorrow, do you have a spare lens Martin?
  12. Had a little ding today, whoops! As title, cash waiting for any of them
  13. All the best Al Aberdeen won't know what's hit it
  14. Okay, that's one item cleared up It's not your 2nd decat causing the issue, there's not enough restriction to limit boost *without* a restrictor ring in place. As above, can you get a pic of the rear silencer, looking down the pipe?
  15. Is the 1.75 bar boost a typo? Do you mean 0.75? If the restrictor ring is removed and you still only see 1 bar there is going to be a mechanical issue. It's either an exhaust restriction or buggered turbo (and with rebuilt ones that's always a possibilty). A 2.25 inch 2nd decat shouldn't restrict enough to keep it below 1 bar without a restrictor. Exactly what cat back exhaust do you have? Can you post a picture of the back box looking down the rear silencer (there are some strange NUR exhausts out there... e.g. TRD-Rob has one which has a
