  1. Completely forgot about this thread but I did read and take on board everyones input, very useful I ended up going with Plan A and got her a 2011 BMW 320d. It was a good price and fairly low mileage for an ex-fleet car. It's been a great car the last year and we both love it; nice to drive and has enough torque power for it not to be boring. We did try a Golf, Focus and Astra (As recommended!) but the rear was a bit too confined, the BMW had a lot more room and the fit and feel of the interior was much better quality. I quite liked the A4 too but the wife hated the interior.
  2. Stock 17's in not very good condition with no centre caps - Refurb is essential as they have corrosion Lexus 18's which need a refurb, no centre caps. All have tyre's and mostly legal depth, but not safe to use on the road due to age/cracking Open to offers in case they're of use to you
  3. Send me a PM with your email address, I'll add you. It's invite only.
  4. Right side, yes. Left side you're missing the smaller spanner (8 & 10mm). The rear most part I think is only used by the aero tops and the roof tool is stored there. I've never seen the other cut out filled apart from when people put the passenger side flare in there (which probably are way beyond their useful life by now!) There were lots of options for things like first aid kits which the rest of the spaces might have been reserved for.
  5. Very clean looking car Marty, loving the subtle stock look
  6. Check the bulb at the back mate, they're twist-in and can be dislodged when fiddling with the units. If the rest of the unit is lit it won't be a fuse. Each dial has it's own bulb so my money is on that
  7. The damaged parts shown are all in front of the subframe mount points so it might not be too bad. As Mr Wilkinson says it really need to go on a jig to make sure there's no further structural damage. IMO, it's an NA so it may well be more viable to look for better shell. It's a lot of work to swap parts over so it will depend how much sentimental value the car has and how much time you can invest. The surface rust is about as bad as I've seen, did you buy it like this or has it sat for a while? It's obviously had paint work at some point, which may point to not being the best shell (or poor paint shop)
  8. It was the fuse (caused by a melted cig lighter wire). Numb nuts here was checking the wrong fuse.
  9. That was the "I must be missing something" thing that I couldn't remember!!! I'll have a look at that tomorrow, thanks Kev.
  10. Couldn't find any loose wires but reseated all the sockets. I did find that the two wires to the cig lighter had melted slightly and were touching (probably over use of a tyre compressor), so this seems to be the likely cause. I'll re-check the fuses tomorrow.
  11. The lights have gone out on these 3 items and controls are not working. Weirdly when I turn the lights on there is some illumination of the heater buttons (I guess they're on a different circuit) I have checked the interior fuses and can't see any of them are blown, but I'm sure I'm missing something obvious. Are there any quick thoughts before I start taking it apart and swapping bits out? TIA!
  12. This. The best way to get to see a few cars and get an idea of what to look for and maybe get to meet some locals who know their way around a Supra. Absolutely invaluable especially as the cars are getting older. Welcome to the club I bought my other half a 2011 E90 320d last year, it's a great car. It's pretty close to my NA 5spd in terms of straight line drive, corners are another matter
  13. Renewed with Sky again this year. It's the 3rd year in a row my premium dropped. Happy with the service
  14. Good idea's Burna Personally the thing that was missing was food later in the evening (9-12pm). No matter what food is put on in the day, after a good few drinks it's good to have something available to soak up the shandy:D As others have mentioned, maybe a little earlier for the BBQ and then have a 2nd round of food options later in the evening. Bacon butties and another non-pork/meat option? I like Jason's Pizza idea too, should be easy to cater for vege's, non pork eaters, non beef eaters, etc. A hog roast would be great, but that's usually quite a pricey option compared to BBQ and others. Might be worth a look into (if not done already).
  15. As parts become more difficult to find they will go up, that's always the way. I remember a time when a pair of glass lights were £280 from Toyota. It's the facelift ones that used to cost big money. Personally, I'd have the glass one any day of the week, much better performing when it's needed (in the dark!), the facelift ones look more modern in the daytime though. Rear facelift lights were £140 a pair new from Toyota, I'm not sure they're even available now. I have 2-3 sets of each and glad I held onto them (gloating, maybe!)
  16. Glad it's not just me that thought that
  17. Looks like a great car, very tidy inside and out Love those wheels!
  18. Nice results Jurgen, congrats! I watched some of your live feeds on FB this weekend, very good
  19. I do love the RX7, it's a great car with some flaws (same as the supra). The spot lamps on this model do ruin the look IMO, the front end looked so much nicer in the previous revision. Is the front end on this non-standard? Still, a great car and it's on my list of cars I'd like to have owned A mate of mine has a hugely custom triple rotor FD3 with 900bhp, I've been in it as a passenger and it's just insane. With the traction control on I'd honestly say it's faster than a 900bhp R35 in a straight line. It doesn't have the speed off the line but is indescribable once it reaches 80+mph, I've never experienced anything that accelerates that fast. The supra looks great, but I have to ask if those are OEM side skirts - they look a little rippled but it may just be the reflections in the picture. I ask for a good reason but it'd take a long time to explain why
  20. Personally I think you're doing the right thing changing the bodykit to stock, and I definitely agree with changing the back box. It looks really odd with those twin pipes! What are all those green wires in the engine bay for?
  21. I had a good look at it at Wroxhall, very nicely done looks great!
