  1. I had the same problem with my AEM mate. it had 5volts coming out the map sensor 5 volt input and also the tps and the oem maf inputs.. I had to fit another ecu and send mine back to be repaired..
  2. Name Gledo1970 Ecu Solaris 6 speed Manual GT4094R DBB hks 264 cams Mapped by Ryan G Rating 10/10 Result 631.3BHP & 500 ft lbs
  3. Here is the dyno pots from yesturday.I was more than happy with this output on the old engine at only 1.5bar and safe rev limit of 7.2k. Power was still rising but afther a long few weeks and toasting the rear R888's on the dyno that will do this year. Roll on the new engine and direct port nitrous in the new year.. Hey Matey, cracking car you have there, very tidy install indeed (Cheers Wez... it was nice to meet you mate... give me a shout if you want a breather system knock up...) Cheers jamie (Very nice power output and a stunning car you have there Steve.) Just wondering, where did you get you're Strut Brace from Gledo?? It's a greddy one mate.. had it years know.. not sure were i got it from On the plots it makes the car look laggy but just ask ryan how fast it spools on the road..very impressed with the new solaris and the launch/traction control works very well and it is not even fully set up yet
  4. Just updating the thread.. Afther a number of small problems we got there.. To start of with we had a missfire which turned out to be a coilpack braking down and also a hks dli with a dry joint then the aem ecu packed up.so the car hasn't had much luck this summer... the input 5v signal for map sensor burnt out and was sending out 5 volts. not good..so afther chatting to different people and looking at either replacing like for like or (aem/apexi/hks etc) or go for the new solaris sg6 set up etc.. Anyway due to a wedding to pay for (lol) that put September out the plan sohad to wait till early October. So i rang ryan and orderd a new solaris and booking him for last thursday to get the new setup up and running.. Apart from a small problem with the Aem map sensor only reading to 10psi and now replaced with a new solaris sensor we got there... The new ecu is great..the car has never ran so smooth.. fuel, boost, air intake, egt are all spot on.no knock and the car pulls better than it ever has.. We took it down to surreyrolling road today to check the maps and see what sort of power we are making..Afther about an hour we got a very safe output of 631.3bhp at 1.5bar on road fuel and air intake temp going over 31oC and a safe rev/lmt of 7.2k.. on the road we were only seeing intake air temps of 9/10oC so left it there.. Ryan started setting the launch control and tractions control on the way back and he will finish these off when the roads are dry.. I will put the dyno sheets up tomorrow once i have scanned them..I am very happy with the new set up and cant wait to get the new built engine in and see what we can get then as this engine has seen and done alot of work from a t51r with hks ecu, poorly mapped t66 and gt35/82r and 10k with a poor reading wideband. The current engine was built almost 5years ago and done over 50k mile so is not in the best condition.. I would just like to thank ryan for all his hard work and if anybody wants a demo on the new solaris just drop me a pm..

  8. top hose id is 32mm and the sandwich plate needs to be for a 3/4 unf thread type.
  9. 1ltr of wash etch.2ltrs of hs primer.2.5ltrs off waterbase basecoat.2ltrs of hs clear coat all ready for use is the book amount of wet materials required for a full body respray in either dupont, ppg or lesonal.. If you use cheap paint then you will need alot more..
  10. ryan like to map with fuel pressure set at 33psi with no vac mate.
  11. Take it back and get him to repaint the car mate... by the looks of it the basecoat was not fully dry before the clear coat was applied or an over thinned/activator clear coat mix was used and as the solvent is trapped in the base coat/clear coat it pulls the gloss level down as it dries ,in the trade we call it pinching, sucking, dropping etc or in the days of single pack paint they would bloom if the humidity was high. this is a common mistake made when using cheaper material , If the paint work is flat and polished (colour sanded) it will keep pinching and the gloss level will keep dropping in time.. you have paid for a respray and what he has give you is a very poor standard of workmanship. It should not be down to you to pay for the car to be machined polished/colour sanded by someone else,
  12. rallydesign.co.uk is the best on price for samco stuff mate, or you can get it from demon tweeks or merlin motorsport

  16. I have fitted several of these kits. proper fittings and pipes, stat, made to measure pipe lengths and fully pressure tested, not your cheap ebay rubbish http://www.speedflowshop.co.uk/engine-oil-cooler-kit-1251-p.asp
  17. demon tweeks. speedflow and gt3turbo all sell 1/8npt 90o barb fittings mate. they are only a couple of quid. see link to rallydesign below http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=281_284&products_id=1706
  18. I've got a orc 4 paddle mate and there not great for driving around town.it's just an on and off switch and every now and then it starts juddering and i have to put it in a high gear and give it a very light slip to clear it. we get the same problem on ferarri cars with paddle shifts and it works fine on them.as for bedding in i wouldn't know..
  19. If you can get any mate why dont you make your own, you can get all the bits from demon tweeks or speedflow..
  20. in need of a set of good coil packs. Im trying to sort a misfire out and want to make sure before buying new...cash awaiting
  21. cheers guys... I've got a few more little jobs to do and some cleaning up under the bonnet yet but afther so many late nights im having a week off.. as for what hp we can get im not sure. I am hoping for around 700ish mark all going well. Ryan thinks may be 750 if we are really lucky. but the 4094r is abite of a unknown set up on the mkiv compared to the 4088r.. I was expecting alot more lag with it than we are getting so very happy already.
