  10. this is the main problem, left hand drive loom, and as far as i know all left hand drive looms are UK/Euro spec.. i was told that the resistor pack can be bypassed, but i'm not sure how.. the easiest thing would be to get some 550's but i need to find some first, so i thought if i can get it sorted by bypassing the resistor pack and putting in a jap ecu, and see if that works, as i can have a jap ecu anyway..just dont know how to bypass the resistor pack.. thanks
  11. i know.. but trying to do what i can..as i have a couple of supra's, so i can use parts off each of them as process of elimination, otherwise if i was to take it somewhere, i might have to keep buying different parts which might not help.. thanks..
  12. when i connect the MAF sensor, the doesnt start, and even when i connect it while the car is running, it cuts off.. but when disconnected its ok.. i've got a j spec engine, so only 440's..maybe need the 550's.. is there a way to bypass the resistor pack and keep the 440's?? thanks..
  13. all i'm aware of is that the UK loom has a resistor pack, and some sort of vacuum thing that sits on the end of the inlet..but i have tried using both these parts and still no joy.. maybe and ecu or injector issue..?? or both??
  14. i have just finished building one of my supra's and have come across this problem.. i have a UK spec engine wiring loom and also a UK spec ECU running a j-spec TT engine. when i first put it all together in the car, i couldnt get it started, then i borrowed a UK resister pack for the injectors and connected that to the loom, and the car fired up, but it doesnt idle well, feels like its missing. Also have black smoke coming out the exhaust. i've checked all the plugs/coil packs and injectors, and everything seems to be working as they should. when i took this engine out of the car it was originally in, it ran perfect, no smoke, no missing..So i can only imagine its something to do with the loom?? or maybe its because UK's have 550 injectors and j-specs have 440's?? any advice would be appeciated thanks
