  1. Im only asking this as my yellow fuel light is on and there is 1mm of dial showing fuel in tank.... I need to get to local fuel station 3 miles away. Do ya reckon I'll make it? I've heard that there is 40 miles left in it when light comes on (I hardly beleive that tho!) Jez
  2. Ye har! Thats dead near me so Im definitly up for this one. When then?
  3. or....Coventry? I forgot about this meet guys - apologies there. Been hectic at work etc. Next time I'll try my damn hardest as I still dont know any other Supra owners in the area... Damn..
  4. I ve come across a second hand RSR exhaust - I know they are great and wonderful and want it on my car. Now I currently run a stock exhaust (boring restrictive and quiet) and whilst under teh car the otehr day I noticed some corrosion on the backbox that will be probably have had come next years MOT. How easy is it to fit this RSR? Baring in mind I would like to go decat (2x), but am afraid MOT failiure is NOT an option. How are others getting over this? Is ist worth keeping my cats on or at least removing the second? Can I achieve this using this exhaust? The car is a SZ with 15k on it (nothing!) so emissions are currently dead on perfect.
  5. LHD headlamps: Did you get anywhere with this? I have a pair of glass lamps but just been told these are not Uk legal due to the pitch to the right. Now can the adjusters sort this? Jez
  6. Aha! Here it comes....."Pop" wahhh....! I'm the proud owner of a bouncing baby discoloured japspec passenger light. I'll put it on ebay I think..Amazing the difference in weight compared with the glass ones... Anyway - thanks for the tips guys. Tomorrow evening Ill do drivers side. I installed xenon bulbs aswell while i was at it - wow what a difference! Pure white light rather than the amber original! I will have a pair of jap spec lights for sale iminently - as I mentioned above, passenger side is rather foggy but good nick, and drivers side is absolutly crystal clear and new (think it was replaced shorlty before I bought car). In fact drivers side looks like the glass one Ive just installed (its that new). Any offers? Jez
  7. Oh god. Dont wanna pull the poxy bumper off. Here goes... Are you sure? Looks like there is a bit of "give" but blinkin flip....
  8. I hope someone could give a quick description on how to remove the headlamps (Im swapping for glass ones as we speak. Ive managed to remove all three bolts from passenger side one but no matter how hard i jiggle, it looks like its not going to come free from the bumper housing. How the hell does it come out? I thought the drivers side one was supposed to be more tricky? # Help! Jez
  9. Hi all - help again: I didnt get a "proper" service manual with my motor when I bought it: I have an SZ. I bought the car last September, and the dealer serviced it.(fluids). Its a super-low mileage example- only 10,995 miles when I bought it. I have only done approx 4000 miles since then - when's the next service and what am I looking at in terms of fluids replacement?
  10. Yeah bud, coming down from Warks for the weekend. Mines pretty identical to yours - but with 17" WORK white alloys Jez
  11. Evening people, Am I right in thinking that my I can use my unused MR2 Toyota Forlife red coolant in my SZ as coolant. Thought I'd double check! It looks like the same stuff is in the Supra. I have a massive container of it and Im off to Dorset tomorrow so thought I'd do the necessary pre-trip check. Jez
  12. Typical! Driving to work this morning I managed to scrape both off side alloys on a kurb on a country lane. Only had them reconditioned a couple of months ago. Goddammmit. I might have to have a go at smoothing the scraped alloy off with my dremel as soon as the weather improves then retouch up as necessary. Makes matters worse when you have white alloys...grrr.
  13. LOL - Mine is tha same. Almost makes it her prime purpose in life to express her disinterest in anything Supra. She woulnt even come to the Pod. Ho hum.
  14. Rockin' I'll be there too. Make it a nice venue (hang on, we are talking Birmingham arnt we...)
  15. I mean that test drive will be in a car park scenario (!!) not on public roads. That way I'm not even risking it. Anyways - I phoned up my insurance again (just to see if they changed their minds) and sure enough, what happens: A different rep answered and I explained the predicament: teh result - "no problem". 10 days for a tenner! I couldnt believe that two seperate reps gave me two differentt answers. My god. What a pile of sh@te. Anyway - I explained how frustrating this was to be told two vastly contrasting pieces of info from the same company. This is absolutly typical of insurance companies. Lesson learnt: Try phoning insurance companies back to see if they change their mind/view/policies - seems to be the case. I'll be doing the same when I phone to insure my Supra again! (but obvioulsy glad I'm now insured)
  16. Mmm. scary thought. Im not so scared about the test drive: its more to do with him driving home in it without tax. I could possibly pursuade him but I wouldnt like to drive a car for 100 miles without tax. I doubt he will either! I'll have another go at Tescos (the unhelpful gits)
  17. MMM. Thansk for your thoughts - seems such an odd way of doing anything though! A mate of mine suggested what would I do if I had a courtesy car? Surely a courtesy car needs insuring for a short time, and usually they add it to your current insurance? I'll ring them back - theres obviously litttle money in it for the insurance company for them to not even try to offer a solution.
  18. Can anyone help: Having bough my Supra last yare, I'm now trying to sell my Mr2 . I have a potential buyer coming next week to purchase said car. Now I originally put the car into storage 6 months ago and informed the post office etc. with the intention of retaxing when the it came to be sold. Now my blinkin insurance company is stating that they can only tax cars for a 12 month period - so I cant even get insured for a day just to tax the thing? This is ludicrous. The whole system doesnt even attempt to make it easy to peole to play by the rules and tax,MOT and insure their cars! It seems dead silly. Can anyone suggest a company that will do short term insurance so I can take the guy out for a test drive/and get it taxed? It seems the big players (directline, tescos etc) only do Tax for 12 months minimum. Help?
  19. I can make 12th 13th June? This weekend?!
  20. I can shoot over from Warwick - but I would prefer it at weekend! Jez
  21. Im up for it - I live in Warwick so not far to go for a change! Get in touch if anyones near and we can meet up before hand/on the way... Jez
  22. Ref Speed limiter - Hi there! i would be interested in purchaseing your delimiter if it is for sale still. My car is limited to 120 too. How does it integrate into the current system - does it bypass or plug straight in to something? Jez
