  1. Another question about the dashboard. Mine was covered with those not-so-cheap carbon pieces with 3M adhesive. The thing is they are now slowly peeling off and leaving the plastic trims sticky. What do you recommend to fix this? Was thinking about sanding it and have it painted. Or I got in contact with someone to cover it with real carbon, but he stopped responding...
  2. Thanks everyone for the recommendations, still have some time to think about it. Gonna check on the possibility of powder coating them as Peter P said. Will see what it will be and I'll keep you updated with the restoration. P. S. How can I change the thread title?
  3. Will think about it. Actually the car will be sent to a Swiss enterprise based in Portugal, it's so expensive here that I would need to spare for many years to get it done.
  4. I thought about it too, but sometimes I feel like they may be a little too ''dull'' in contrast with the bright color of the car making them look cheap. Perhaps it is just because they aren't in a really good overall shape and not cleaned as often as they should be, ha ha. So +1 for just a renewal.
  5. Hello everyone, I will get my Supra completely repainted as it is actually wrapped, with the restoration of parts that didn't age very well. The carbon bonnet suffered from the engine's heat and the roof was probably dropped a few times on the ground... I want to get it clean as possible and do all the major things at once, paint like I said, but also upholstery, dashboard, interior panels, doors, and many other little things. The rims will also be restored but I'm not sure about the color I should go with. They are actually part chrome part silver coated and the car will stay red as it is. I don't know if I should get them fully chromed or just the outer rim with a different color for the spokes, was thinking gold/bronze/copper, maybe? I also thought about full white rims, but it just gets dirty too fast. Well, I'm still quite undecided and any help would be welcome. Here's a picture of the car in its actual state for reference. Cheers,
  6. +1, absolutely agree. That thing sounds just phenomenal and out of this world.
  7. Even though I live in Switzerland, got people shouting it a few times while passing/standing by them. Caught a guy yelling it while recording an ''Insta story'' in an underground parking just when I was walking to the car. And another one sending me a video of himself and a buddy yelling it as they were following me. Like many here, just laugh and continue my way unless they show further interest.
  8. His philosophy is quite different from the usual tuning world. Really enjoyed this interview.
  9. Thanks you all! Oh, nice, I definitely need to visit Hanshin one of these days. Have to put my car on the dyno there. If you remember, PM me before you come, maybe we will be able to meet. I work as a bus driver in Lausanne, so chances are I will be around.
  10. The channel itself is amazing too. They have a lot of videos about JDM cars and culture., very knowledgeable. Definitely take a look if you are into Japanese car scene, mostly from the '90s.
  11. Hi, thanks! I think this car may have been a little neglected lately. The previous owner had not much use of it before selling it and the fact that it may have not been driven for a bit of time didn't help with rubber seals. I already had to have the gearbox seals done and now it's the steering pump and a turbo oil return that are leaking. For the moment I'm able to figure everything out, but should I need help, I won't hesitate, thanks. I'm from Yverdon, near Lausanne, in the french speaking part. Where do you come from with your car? I'm planning a road trip across north Europe, but once I'm sure I won't stay in the middle of somewhere because of a leak (ha ha).
  12. Hi everyone! I'm Filipe, a Swiss resident and owner of a red '96 Supra targa (quite modified) since last september. Very happy with it, though have been having some troubles (leaks here and there), but pretty normal for those cars, isn't it? I look forward into sharing with you on this amazing site. Cheers!
