  1. I too had a note with phone number but of course I never called. could be any kind of nut case.
  2. Why don't they make the female version of the M3 Power? Might encourage some of them to "tidy up" a bit more down there
  3. I haven't driven my Supe for nearly three months It's minus 11 out here today and quite a bit of snow on the minor roads still. Running around in my Omega which is actually excellent at getting the tail out on the snowy roads being RWD 'n' all so not all is lost. Spring still seems a long way off though.
  4. Hard to believe that a car company the size of Toyota doesn't have a high performance car in its line up. I agree with Angarak, the replacement is most likely to be a Lexus so they can charge a premium price for it. I doubt any new model will have the same impact as the MKIV though.
  5. I guess my speed converter is in a different place cos although I'm counting in miles, I still v-max at 112mph and the front spoiler doesn't deploy until 90mph.
  6. Fair enough, if that's normal then I'll just have to remember to switch it off more often! Can be embarrassing.
  7. What are the symptoms of a problematic traction control? I have a tip-VVTi and I must admit the T/C is VERY abrupt (and then stays on). Is this what you mean?

    Chevy

I quite like the current trend for retro. Some old cars look great but are either stupidly expensive or a pig to drive. Gives a new generation a chance to enjoy. As long as they keep to the right models. Imagine a retro Alegro!

    Chevy

When oh when oh when is Toyota going to bring out a MKV Supra? And it better be GOOD looking too! Not like when they replaced the Soarer with the topless guppy. In the mean time, the Chevy Camaro concept looks SWEET! I'm not looking to replace the Supe yet a while but this just made my shortlist.
  10. I've just bought this year's winter car. An Omega 2.2 with a whopping 140BHP! It's like driving a water bed and about as fast On the plus side, there's enough room in it for a party!
  11. Elephant are good in my opinion. They gave me full NCD on my Omega which meant nice cheap insurance. One thing to note however is that you only get full NCD whilst you stay with them. If you switch companies then they only credit you with the NCD that you have actually built up on the new policy which is only fair I guess.
  12. @lpher, can you get studded tyres to fit a Supe? :-D
  13. That's why a Volvo 740 is such a good car to learn in. It teaches you everything you need to know about rear drive dynamics at very low speeds due to it's pathetic levls of grip and megre power. Wash the underside regularly to prevent salt build up.
  14. I won't be driving my Supe here this winter. Not a good idea. She will be tucked up in the garage for a few months. I usually have a Volvo 740 for the winters, still RWD and therefor still fun but of no value, fina´ncial or emotional. My idea for this year however is to get an LS400 for the winter. Also RWD and will be an interesting experiment. How long will I be able to keep it on the road! Dunno yet.
  15. I took the plastic off from around the gear lever etc to look for the bulb. Found what could be a bulb at the back, close to the driver's side. Seemed like it was glued in or something! Didn't want to force it and break it. Damn. Does this twist out or something? It's just a small bulb like a fairy light!!
  16. After two years, almost to the day, of Supra ownership I have my first fault with the car. When I put my lights on, the gear selector letters (automatic) in the centre console no longer light up!! And I thought these cars were meant to be reliable!!! LOL This means I'll have to replace the bulb and they probably cost the best part of £1.

    Stalker!

I think I've got my very own stalker! How very Hollywood! Came out to my car yesterday and found a note on it: If you want a friend, call this number. Ahhh! Run away!!!!
  19. Do they do them with the three little dials aswell?
  20. Not so bad Steve. Tyres are comsumables and the exhaust may be fixable. How were your emmissions? Or do you still have cats?
  21. Rubber stops have been changed, squeek remained. I had a go at fiddling with the bumper and I'll see if that improves matter on my next test run.
  22. Think I might have zeroed in on the cause of my squeek. The rear bumper emits a little squeek when I push down on it ever so gently. It could be rubbing on the rear light cluster and this noise could easily be transmitted into the cabin. Is this adjustable??? If so how. Thanks again guys. Chris
  23. Had the suspension checked out...no problems. Need to look at the boot catch. I'm begining to think it's the rear seat or something. Hard to track down and it's anoying!
  24. positive it's not the suspension. deffo coming from hatch. I'll try the card idea. Might be the boot lock or something?
  25. I got the little rubber bumpers on the hatch replaced. My kind Toyota dealer did this for me. However, it still squeeks! Is there something I'm missing?
