  1. Bah! Where do I send my money? I leeched off this BBS for long enough when I owned a soop. I'd be more than happy to contribute to its upkeep. If I get another I can then continue asking dumb questions without feeling guilty. Actually I feel ripped off, I used to have to write to you seperately Nathan. I get rid of the car and suddenly you pop up here; are you trying to tell me something?
  2. £10? Its paid subscription based now? Should I have sent a cheque off to someone? Sorry if I missed something, I haven't been around for a while.
  3. Nice info Darren. http://www.grapeaperacing.com/GrapeApeRacing/tech/turbosize.cfm They have a conversion factor of 0.069 which is different to the one I posted earlier, although I suspect there is quite a bit of tolerance on the range of values which will 'do'.
  4. Not sure if this is what you want or not but: CFM * 0.076 = lbs/min Graham
  5. Oops, should have mentioned. UK brakes wont fit under the wheels either.
  6. Yeah, it had the small brakes on it. Pads were from CW.
  7. Thanks for that, I was just starting to itch for another Soop too.....
  8. To be honest I wouldn't trust anything the previous owner says, I've heard he was a real shady character.
  9. Hold the recall button down for a few seconds.
  10. As for the light cluster/indicator thing. No clue really, could the cluster's connector pins have corroded and turned to mush or something? Might be worth having a look.
  11. Ahh, yep, I never could find a nice place to took that out of the way. Its the RL diagnostic LED, probably set up as a gear shift indicator at the minute.
  12. Speak to Mr. Wilson about which brake fluid/pads were used. Pads and fluids were last changed by him.
  13. Could it be related to the electrical problem? i.e. your brake/indicator thing is happening for a second but the warning light is remaining on to remind you of it?
  14. Eek! What have you done to her!? I've never ever seen it do anything like that before, and can't actually think what it could mean either. It does it when you come off the accelerator?
  15. Dodgy? If you mean have I ever had them not work then certainly not as far as I'm aware. You haven't gone and broken her already have you!?
  16. If the internals were replaced then they were done in Japan in I have no knowledge of it. Actually, I'm not 100% sure that the injectors are stock either, I *think* they are but I couldn't say for certain.
  17. The Blitz ECU you have does raise the rev limit, I've never been brave enough to find out where its new limit is though. Maybe now I can find out!
  18. Fuelling has been checked at 1.2 bar and is absolutely fine, probably running a tad rich if anything. I suspect that the Blitz ECU likes to chuck fuel in. What this means in terms of the longevity of the injectors I don't know as they are obviously running at a higher duty cycle than 'normal'. However Gavin is probably correct, probaby best ask TDI any questions you might have, or get it along to a tuner of your choice to give it the once over for 100% peace of mind. Go on sahn! Slap some great big flaming 1000cc injectors on there and get the mother of all turbos fitted! Thats all she's waiting for now!
  19. Please, please, please get a restrictor ring before you put that pipe on! It WILL overboost and not by a small amount, we're talking upwards of 1.9 bar here, I kid you not. As for the BHP, I never bothered getting it dynoed, I figure you can only probably end up dissappointed doing that. Surely its quick enough!?
  20. Is it? Wouldn't know myself, I've taken matt's excellent advice and turned the buggers off.
  21. Not a fan of shreddies myself, more of a toast man. Bradly's happens to be funny. Honestly though, there is listing your spec and then just going bonkers. Further to what Gavin has mentioned we even get to know the exact make and size of tyre plus wonderful 'virtual' specs which aren't even on the car yet! I'm just sour this morning, I was going to drag the Supra out to have a bit of a blast but its only pi**ing down isn't it! Mind you, I'm not sure I've even got enough fuel in it to get to the nearest super-unleaded pump. Does it never occur to anyone that if everyone had sigs like that then the BBS would be 5% content and 95% crap? Hrmmm... hang on.... :devil Anyway Randy, sorry for runining you original thread! Oops! Over to anyone who can actually help him.
  22. I'm not a tech guy, I'm just wondering why.... for the love of God WHY do we need to see full specs of a car in a flaming sig?
  23. Can any of you guy help with this query? Gut instinct says a bad earth, but quite possibly something much more (or less) insidious. I hope Ben doesn't mind me posting his mail here, but I figure this is the best bet for a result! Cheers Graham
