  4. My opinion is if a thief wants them you normally cant stop them....maybe be an anti jack alarm with a pager system would help.
  5. Some info to help wez with his sale..... I fitted 6x9's in the back of mine, i had to remove the whole rear internal quarter panel and the rear speaker bracket. Then made up a mdf fill panel 3/4 " thick that sits in the plastic panel where the speaker cover would normally sit(with no gaps so you get an air tight seal, i also used a thin foam back strip to help with the seal of the two panels), attach that by using screws from behind through the stock holes as not to damage your panel, but not too long so that they protrude through the mdf spacer. Then you can fit a 6x9 speaker to this as it gives you the depth you will require for the speaker & magnet.cover the lot then in a black acoustic cloth, hey presto it doesn't look to dissimilar to the stock look, but with a much better sound. I used 4 way speakers and didn't dynomatt the inner panel and i have to say it sounds pretty good. But i do also have an active sub and and 3 way 6.5 in the front on the mdf brackets. Maybe i should knock up a batch and do a group buy;-)
  6. your gonna need a code reader to really find out what it is and to take the light out.
  7. 5w30 would be what you would get in a ford service, saying that 10w40 wont hurt it. Although if this is oil is used and your engine internals are not actually that worn and at 80k if regularly serviced I would say they probably are not it may seem to have less performance. Note:The alternative viscosity oil's in the hand book are usually a guide for topping up and external ambient temp differences. E.G a hot or cold country.
  8. Iam working on the Focus RS500's daily...vinyl wrap is a real pain to clean and a bitch when its damaged. Matt paint would be easier to keep IMHO, not really sure why the wrap is so popular??
  9. On the Gator side of the drop link you may find that there is a double flat on the ball joint bolt, say about a 15mm.This is where it should be held not really on the hex part.
  10. my tip is start simple....then worry if it gets more complicated.

  19. Just some info i thought i would share you all..... Good Morning We are writing to inform you of changes that are happening at Heathrow Airport concerning pick-ups from outside the Terminals. BAA and the Metropolitan Police have been giving notices to all drivers at T5 telling them that they must not pick up from the departure level. Any drivers caught trying to pick up at departures will face a fine. All drivers must therefore pick-up inside the car park. As of this week, this ban has been extended to T1 and we expect T3 and T4 to follow in the near future. The notice also instructs that no drivers may return to the same Terminal within one hour. This latest instruction will obviously cause problems with driver pick-ups as, being based only 10 minutes from the Terminals, it is not unusual for a driver to pick up or drop off from the same terminal 2 or 3 times within an hour. Please can we ask when booking cars that correct Terminal numbers are given as number plate recognition cameras will automatically issue fines for returns within this one hour period. As all Heathrow collections now involve the driver having to come into the car park, there is currently a £2.50 car park charge which covers 30 minutes. Unfortunately this additional charge will now have to be passed on to our customers for all ‘Will Ring’ and ‘ASAP’ bookings. For ‘Meet & Greets’ we will continue to absorb the extra £2.50 charge. For account customers, on your invoices the Meet & Greet charge will now show as £9.50 and car parking £2.50 (still totalling £12.00) which still allows 30 minutes waiting time from when the flight has landed. I would like to add that, we are contesting this issue with BAA, but fighting such a large company over its decisions is not easy, should anything change in the future we will of course keep you informed. We offer our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. LHR Express Cars Ltd 91 Station Road West Drayton UB7 7LT 01895 444 333
