  1. Looking sharp, Phil. I must get round to getting mine done at some point.
  2. Save yourself the expense of paying Ryan twice for mapping (although he won't mind) and sort the filtration and cooling out. You're not going to get the best out of it as it stands.
  3. All of the ones that went through my hands never looked like that; even the first UK test pieces were better!
  4. Fair play to you; it's nice to see a different approach on things every now and then.
  5. Thanks Lee. Maybe my memory isn't as bad as I thought it was. Just for reference: 1.35mm/87.5mm = 8.12cc ( 7.82cc if it's compressed to 1.3mm) 1.2mm/88mm = 7.3cc I'm throwing my guess in with Adam's: the VVTi Cam timing. It can make a noticeable difference if not set up properly, specially with an aftermarket cam. Second guess would be the Turbo, but that's an easy test. Of course, I'm assuming that everything else has been ruled out.
  6. I think Tony Licence measured his around 44cc with aftermarket valves.
  7. Can you have a measure the gasket bore too please bud? IIRC the stock is 87 and the HKS is 88.
  8. That's something you would need to take up with HKS Europe. Last time I spoke to them they quoted that their head gasket thicknesses are stated in a compressed state. If it's worth anything, I vaguely remember my micrometer spitting out similar measurement to yours for an N/A head gasket with the TT being around 1.4mm in uncompressed form. I'm more than willing to be proved wrong as that was some time ago and my memory is not what it was.

  10. ^ lol that seems like it was moons ago now.
  11. Sounds like you want the silver to me; which is what you ordered and paid for.
  12. I'm surprised they didn't mention that only Polish and Hindi are spoken in some parts of England.
  13. The 722.6 (W5A900 or W5A1000) used in the V12 Benzos would make and interesting choice too. A torque rating of 900-1000nm should cover most peoples needs.
  14. It is indeed. The BL box is just a stock A340E with internal 'tweaks'.
  15. Info on Craig Paisley can be found HERE
  16. Bump for offers before I slap it up on eBay.
  17. Happy Birthday bud; have a good one.
  18. From personal experience the TH400 is a step up in power handling but a step back in refinement compared to the A340E. The 4L80E, as John mentions, is another option if you want to stay auto with more control. SP do a kit I believe, but the conversion price would put you somewhere near to a manual conversion and you still have to live with a high stall. Just a shame there isn't an aftermarket DCT available, I would be all over it.
  19. Massive congratulations to Leon (if he's reading). He's been chipping away for a long time and deserves all the success. I'm sure there's more to come yet. There's some pictures of his set up in this thread: HERE
  20. That looks like the Spool Imports crank to me ?
  21. This should be good when it's done.
