  3. Sorry, you can't pull that card with the amount you spend playing with cars:p It's not permanent and you can sell it on if it's not for you. At least you will have quenched the niggle that you haven't seemed to be able to shake off so far.

  7. I stretched my underpants on today, I can tell you that having your big back wheels hanging out the side ain't comfortable!
  8. Get the lump pulled and go from there. You won't know what the costs are going to be until you discover the extent of the damage. It could range from a relativity cheap fix, to a fortune if you find something has broken up and damaged something else - like the head or turbo for example.
  9. The K&N is an inch larger than the HKS intake, so you would need to have an adapter made up if you wanted to do that.

  13. Looks like we all need to move to Southern Ireland then. The few forecourts supplying E85 near me have actually removed the pumps.

  15. It'll come, as you know yourself, it takes a while for tuners to get their heads around things. I know great strides have been made as far as controlling VTG's ( well it has in the German scene) so it's just a case of making them in bigger sizes now.

  17. That's not even new either, they've just renamed it from "diverter valve". A technology they've been producing for years for Porsche and VAG, amongst others. What would be nice new tech for the aftermarket scene would be large frame VTG turbos that eliminate the wastegates altogether.

  20. Have you though about using one of the new BW EFR turbos and eliminating a lot of the fabrication needed? Nice and simple.
  21. Have you tried selling one recently? Sorry but I'm inclined to agree with John. Depreciation is just a fact of life when it comes to cars. There will always be a niche sector of the market, but the vast majority of owners will just have to accept their car is not worth as much this year as it was last. The ever increasing cost of running 3L+ sports cars is only going to compound the fact. As for single builds being worth more, think again. They are a money losing exercise for the most part and you will NEVER recoup the money you spend on mods. But then you do it for the enjoyment and not for the investment.
  22. Price seems ok to me, I'm willing to bet the trade price on it would be less. And you get 2 tone paint thrown in.
