er, has he tried closing the bonnet yet?
  2. Aha! Thanks Chris! I should have known I was being thick!
  3. I'll take 6 x IK24's please.
  4. Can anyone tell me whether the Centre Bore on the rear hub is larger than the one on the front? Ive just bought some spigot rings and had a quick, very quick, go at fitting them! Their inner diameter is 60.1mm and although they fitted straight onto the front hub, they wouldn't go on the rear, i.e. diameter was too small? is there a difference between the front and rear or have I perhaps missed the fact that there may already be another spigot stuck on in some way?
  5. M.O.T. Passed today as title. Many thanks to Chris Wilson for the work he put in and hassle that I caused him. Replaced all brakes for UK Spec + New Disks & C.W. fast road pads. Replaced N/S/F Koni damper. 2 x Rear Top Wishbones 1 x Front ARB Link Plus had a few other bits done by Chris whilst he had the car: - FCD Walbro Fuel Pump 2 part decat, 2nd pipe to be fitted soon, sounds awseome now!!!! Auto Gearbox oil change Coolant Change PAS Fluid Change Rear boot rubbers Am very pleased with results would recomend Chris's work anyday! Just need to get some bodywork damage sorted out now before I post up some pictures! P.S. Have found a fully decat friendly garage in Derbyshire, p.m. me if interested.
  6. Thanks Guys! Spoke to Ibrar, and he can only get 25mm ones! A little too large me thinks! It's obviously safer to not use spacers at all, but because I can't afford to change my wheels at mo. thaen spacers are my only option, but shorter the better!!! Gaz? Can you get larger spacers anywhere else! N.B. not worried if you don't have them in stock, but can you source reasonably quickly?
  7. OK Guys, the spacers need to be 12mm in width! I need x 2 And I obviously need the studs to go with these! Studs themselves need to be 65mm, that includes the thread length and the bit that goes through the spacer and hub, to the bottom of the bit that stops them coming through the hub! (Sorry, not easy to describe that bit!!!!)
  8. Desperately in need of some spacers! Do any of you traders do some and have them in stock? Preferrably including the std. size studs coming out of them! Needed A.S.A.P. ! I will get the width needed in nxt. post. Thank You
  9. Celica ST182 (It's what originally got me interested in Supe's.) It's 15yrs old with now 140k on the clock! And at mo. (touch wood) is going strong! Toyota, pretty bomb proof me thinks!!!!!
  10. Sorry, haven't read all the posts, just the first page. But surely "moon rock" as it is described is easily counterfeitable, so to speak, as if memory serves me well, books from primary/secondary school describe the moon as being a chunk of earth broken off after an asteroid collision! So surely the moon and earth have similar if not identical chemical properties. If that were the case? except of course for lack of atmosphere and the occasional bump by a piece of space rock! then surely placing a piece of very absorbent rock, i.e heavily oxygonised - such as your average pummy stone, into a vacuum, would produce the same effect?
  11. Thanks for the ideas guys! I like the idea of the degreaser spray and then just gently hosing it off! Would that AutoSol paste be ok for the shiny bits around the edges?
  12. No suggestions then? Some sort of bleach or acid maybe?
  13. Is there anything I can use to give my FMIC a good cleaning and a method anyone would recommend! Mine was on the car when I bought it and looks pretty shabby! I think it's ok physically, i.e. no badly damaged fins or dents, but I'd really like to clean it up! Any suggestions?
  14. OMG! I was thinking of a respray next year as well! Main thoughts were yellow or black! But I think that Red one has changed my mind, just a tad! How much you reckon a respray in that would be?
  15. Sorry, hope I didnt offend, If I did, I didn't mean too! My excuse is too much pop tonight!
  16. Last but one picture from the end though mate! Get rid of that garden gnome please!!!!!
  17. Hi Fox, If this is the one on ebay, avoid it like the plague, I've been in touch with the guy and i'm dead certain its a fraud! He'll only accept payment by a wire transfer! Be wary!

Thanks guys! I've just emailed Chris, hope he doesn't mind!!! Does anyone know if it is possible to get a single Koni Strut, or do you have to buy them in pairs/fours ?

    Gutted!

Hi everyone, thought I'd say a polite hello to you all as I've recently become a proper member, at last! Thought I'd better as I've been bugging you for ages now about bits and pieces! Paid a visit to Mr T. in Derby today for a service Highway robbery springs to mind! I knew how much it was before I went though, but just wanted them to check it over for peace of mind, if you know what I mean? Well they are "supposed" to know their cars!!!!! Anyway, it's the Visual Safety Report/Estimate sheet they gave me afterwards that's really kicked me in the gool!£$ ! Hoping someone can offer some advice, if you've got the time that is? It's a big list, so here goes: - a) I need a Coolant Change (Est. £90.00) (Apparently they topped this up, but were unable to set it right in the expansion bottle?) b) They noticed play in both rear upper arm bushes. (No Est. is this serious?) c) Brakes sound completely shot - i) Front discs are lipped and pads are badly worn. (Est. £303.71) ii) Rear discs are worn and corroded and pads again badly worn. (Est £289.63) d) They also recommend a brake fluid change as its v. dirty (Est. £52.00) e) O/S/F Strutt is leaking (Est. £306.38) f) O/S/F Roll Bar Link Boot Split (Est. £82.35 - Inc. 2 x Nuts) - Wot's this? There ya go, and wipe those grins off yer faces I guess I wouldn't have minded much, but I've only had the car about 18 months and I knew there were a few things wrong with it when I got it, i.e. the suspension was completely shot, so I had the strutts replaced all round with Koni adjustables! I take it O/S/F is the drivers side, so does anyone know if I can get a single Koni adjustable strutt just to replace that? As for everything else, I recently bought a 2nd hand pair of UK front Calipers, just need the rear Calipers discs and pads I guess, anyone or any trader care to give me a price? I've heard on here that Chris Wilson is the dogs b0ll0ck$ when it comes to Supras, does he do work like the above or only engine stuff? Hope someone can help! Thank you all in advance!
