Hello all I trust everyone had a lovely Christmas and I wish you all a very Happy New Year. After some constant back and forth with the insurers, I received a settlement offer yesterday which I accepted. And earlier today, I had the monies hit my account. They have written the car off as total loss and compensated me with £35,000, which is actually quite good and I'm happy with. Footman James and Ageas, both extended their apologies for the inconvenience and reassured me this was an isolated instance given the complex circumstances of the theft. So a late Christmas present and a positive outcome to a horrendous ordeal. I have already bought another Supra, which was owned by another member here. It is in quite a decent nick and I fully intend to keep it that way. I will, of course, share some pictures as soon as I'm able and weather permitting. For now, it is tucked away in my garage, under covers, with the immobiliser and tracker active! Never having another car without a tracker! Thank you so much, everyone, for all your help and support. I would not have been able to follow this through had it not been for you guys. Also, has anyone heard or spoken to David P lately? I cannot seem to get through to him. Just want to check-in with him as he was quite unwell the last time I spoke to him. Much love and respect to you all. My kindest regards, Uzair

What size spacers do I need for wheels to sit flush?
Uzair replied to Uzair's topic in mkiv Technical
Thank you so much. I came across a thread with another member selling their wheels and I loved the wheels and how they sit. I'd love mine to be the same or just as close, though I'm aware the tyres and the rim size make all the difference. I've attached a couple of photos of his beautiful Supra for reference. The current tyres I have on are: Front: 235 40 18 Rear: 265 35 18 -
Hi, I have a set of BBS wheels I'd like to use on another Supra I've bought (and still waiting for Ageas to settle my stolen Supra!). The fitment on the wheels are: Front: 18x8J ET39 Rear: 18x9J ET42 Currently they sit quite inside the arches but I'd like them to sit flush in line with the arches, and I'm not sure what size spacers I would need. Could you please assist me with this and also what size Center Bore I will need? Will it be 74.1? Best regards, Uzair

Hi! Pm'd for the set of suspension arms. -
Hello all, My apologies, I've been away for work and have only just returned to the sunny UK. I'm afraid I don't have any updates at all. The insurance company is quiet, I've spoken to them this morning and they're adamant they will wait 6 months before deliberating and also that the police investigation is still open. I did quote the FCA rules but they said that my car was stolen under 'extenuating circumstances' and exempted from the guideline. I think this is BS and I'm going to look into this and compile a strong argument. Spoke to the police officer dealing with the case and he's confident the car is no longer in the country. However, they're still carrying out searches but have no further updates than the previous ping in Merseyside. The garage's insurers are waiting on my insurers to deliberate, apparently. It's extremely frustrating! Also, thank you @rider. @Swampy442: The car was in storage and SORN and I had it sent to a garage in Grewelthorpe for a leak on the steering rack. It was repaired and we agreed to have it collected on Monday - the car got stolen that weekend, before Monday arrived! We do have CCTV but from the neighbouring properties. They blinded the garage's CCTV with infrared, moved 3 cars out of the way to get to my Supra. They came fully prepared. It was an operation like you would witness in 'Gone in 60 Seconds', 'Inside Man' or 'Fast and Furious'!

Thank you Rider and Darren. The insurance company is already being difficult. :s At present, they have said they will now leave this and wait 6 months before even deliberating on the claim; stating this is the SOP for stolen vehicles. Did you have to wait 6 months too!? My Mrs shared it for me as I'm not on Facebook. She doesn't know how to change the setting for everyone to share. But quite a few have managed to copy the link and share it that way. I don't know how it works.

Thank you, Mitch. Just a little update, I received a phone call from the officer investigating this, and he said they had an ANPR hit on the pick-up truck and trailer that took my car. The ANPR hit was in Merseyside. That's a fair distance from Grewelthorpe! They believe the car is being shipped to a 'customer'. Let's see how this unfolds. The insurance company is being difficult. I'm insured with Footman James with the underwriters being Ageas Insurance. They've said they have to wait six months for stolen vehicles before they can deliberate and / or settle claim. I don't think they will payout... I don't have faith in the system... I feel insurance companies are a mafia, robbing people of their hard earned income under the pretence of essential legal cover.

It was at a garage for a new steering rack. The work had been completed and I was due to collect it on Saturday 28th. I'm absolutely broken. Thank you, I'm not on Facebook (yep, I've been Facebook clean for 10 years) but I'll get my Mrs to post it for me.

Hi All, I'm unsure where to post this and I'm hoping I can get some help. My Supra was stolen yesterday evening from a garage in Grewelthorpe / Harrogate. It's a comprehensively built, clean example. I've received help from several of my fellow enthusiasts here over the years to help me with the build. David P, Darren / Wile Coyote, Eamon Kearney, Keron to name a few. I'm absolutely gutted and an emotional wreck. Unable to be a man about it and take it on the chin. The registration is M167 DRK. I'm attaching some photos of the car. If you come across anyone selling a Supra for parts or breaking one, please check to see the background of the car if that is at all possible. The speedometer is quite unique, picture attached for reference. Any help will be highly appreciated. I can be contacted on [email protected]. I'm unsure if we are permitted to leave our numbers here but more than happy to list it if needed. Thanking you all. My kindest regards, Uzair

Various parts for sale after selling supra

Hi! I'll have the glove box please. I'll DM you. -
Hi! I'd like to have this please. Would you be able to post it?
-
So @m12aak has just been and taken everything for £200 minus the engine which is still available. Updated the original post for everyone to reflect that. @keron m12aak very kindly offered to drop off the cover at yours for you as he's only 10 minutes away from your unit.
-
Replied. Replied also. Thank you both.
-
Just a quick update: the gentleman who reserved everything for collection this weekend will unfortunately not be able to come and has asked I let others know everything is still available. @keron: Don't worry, I still have your cover. Haha. He didn't come either. I'm surprised that I've got so many bits here that are hard to get or somewhat pricey yet no one wants them when I'm practically giving everything away.

PM'd steering wheel.

Hi! Would I need to lift the engine to get to them? You can have them, not a problem but I'm just waiting on a couple of members to confirm if they want everything and I'll ask them if I'm okay to take those off for you. I don't think they'll mind. I'll PM you either way.

Hi! I've just replied.

Hi All! I have been a very quiet member of the forum for some time. This was without intent and was primarily because of my ill health and work commitments. I have met several amazing people through here and everyone I have reached out to for support with my project has been nothing less than an angel and I cannot thank you all enough - especially Eamon Kearney (Ireland), David (David P), Darren (Wile Coyote) and Keron - thank you ever so much for all your help and support the past 2 years. My car is still on a ramp - almost 2 years later. I do get to work on it a little when I can in between my hospital stints and work. I'm sure I will be pestering you all a lot more when I'm able and I hope you'll bear me a little more. I'm trying to clear up some space and I have several parts that I'd like to offer here. I do not have an asking price at all and would like someone to pick these all up as whole. I'll be happy with whatever you feel they are worth, be it even a £1. 2JZ-GE Engine: The engine will need a rebuild. I never opened it to check but the sound at the time suggested a conrod had broken which caused a loud tapping sound. This sound is what actually became a trigger for my project. The engine remains unopened as I thought it was pointless given I had already sourced a GTE to swap with rather than rebuild. I've had to retain the wiring and ECU for the conversion I'm afraid. Stock Engine Mounts. GE Propshaft and Donut. J Spec Front and Rear Brake Calipers. Front Subframe and Rack: Is a little rusty and could do with a refurb. Torque Converter. Stock Radiator. Engine Sump and Frame (Aristo). J Spec Auto Gearbox Flange and Mount. There are several other small items in there that I'm sure I have missed. Again, I honestly do not have an asking price and you're more than welcome to pick up everything as a lot for whatever you may want to pay for them. I've had to place the engine out in the back garden to make some space and it isn't ideal being left outside given the current weather and winter already here so I would request if you're interested to please try and arrange collection. You will most definitely need a van to collect these. I'm afraid I will be unable to arrange courier and drop off due my very limited availability. I hope someone finds these useful and hope to hear from you all. My best to everyone Edit: I'm in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Edit: 20.11.21 - Everything listed above and in the photos below (minus the engine) sold today for £200 collectively. Edit: 04.12.21 - Engine sold too for £200.

It's fine Rajeev. Like I said, I messaged you around midnight and then only logged on around 1pm when on a break at work to see if I had a response from you. By that time you had already committed to someone else giving me less than reasonable time to reply. I do slightly find it unfair as I had expressed genuine interest and was the first one to respond both on the thread and your inbox. It's okay though.
