  1. Been quite busy so updates have been slow. the engine build is coming along with Paul Cheshire, as we all know he does a great job & having had dealings with Paul before we knew he was the guy for the engine build. Some pictures below of progress so far on that front. The rear spoiler finally arrived from Canada, which was a relief as it felt like the money was paid & no spoiler was ever going to arrive but thankfully it is here! Most of the shell has been taken back to metal, some modifications have been made to the bonnet & bumper to get them sitting a bit better. Dan at Wheel Unique has also done a great job on the wheels, a couple of pics to show.
  2. They were really cheap.... want to sell yours?
  3. A few more bits i have not posted, so we have got brand new correct headlights, we have also got the US sidelight markers which the film car had too. Also got some Greddy hose joiners & Greddy pulleys as per the film car. Still on with sourcing parts. The wheels are now stripped & new barrels & lips ordered, they should look pretty cool once finished.
  4. Realised i have not updated on here for a while. Not many interesting pictures currently - We stripped the engine of ancillaries & dropped it off with Paul Cheshire for full rebuild. Had an issue with a company who were supposed to be supplying all trim & seals (door seals, roof seals, weather strips, rear quarter glass etc) so having to claim for that money back. Lee at SRD came to the rescue & has supplied the trims/seals so that is taken care of now. Lee also supplied the Precision 6266 Gen 2 turbo, fuel rail, fuel pump, injectors etc etc. Bodyshop are getting along, i popped over last week to check with kit fitment after they have tweaked it around a bit, before the car now goes back to bare metal. Really hoping to have it at shows next year but we have a large number of projects on so they may be a tall order, lets see.
  5. LOL. Yes some wiring for sure, all removed and returned to original now though. The guys were really pleased when they realised how much aftermarket wiring was in the car & how it had been done, as i am sure you can imagine.
  6. Morning, I have been away on holiday and recently returned. Little update video although not particularly exciting. the guys picked up the V160 and manual conversion parts from SRD whilst i was away, and the engine is now stripped of all ancillaries and delivered to Paul Cheshire for a rebuild. Nothing mental, just a rebuild to refresh everything & some mild cams. About to get ordering various other parts, turbo kit etc etc.... Will be heading over to the Bodyshop next week to see progress, and awaiting other parts arriving.
  7. Thanks very much, we really want to make it a high quality build & a fitting tribute to the original car. I am even trying to see if i can travel out to the original hero 1 car to confirm the colour, as it seems the internet has some confusion over the colour!
  8. Thanks mate, yes the spats came from us and were from this car.
  9. Our first video of the Supra is now on our youtube channel. Hate being on camera but hopefully we can get our videos a bit better the more we do.
  10. A small update - So we trial fitted the RacingHart M5 wheels, these are only 8" wide wheels so are we are going to have them re-barrelled, after lots of measurements & lots of calculations we have that all nailed down. Hopefully with the calcs we have done, the 'stance' & 'fitment' will look great. Also managed to source the three correct (and fully working) amps - the casings want a little love & the logo's screen printing after the casings are cleaned up but we can do that. Also a correct steering wheel, although needing a re-trim but again that is fine as we will be needing to re-trim the interior anyway.
  11. A few pictures of updates, engine & box are now out. Interior is also out, along with fuel lines, brake lines, aftermarket wiring etc etc.... As you can see we are now trial fitting the kit, which overall is very good but does need some fine fettling which you do expect of course. The quality is very good though. A few more parts sorted today, and working on finding other parts. The car should hopefully be heading to paint by the end of the week! A couple of pics of our Evo 5 project too.
  12. I will have some updated pictures later today, i have also added a wanted posted - long shot but looking for a Greddy Power Extreme exhaust system & also the Sillen brake kit......
  13. Thought it worth asking here although i know it is a long shot. Really wanting to find an old school Greddy Power Extreme exhaust system. Also needing an older style AP Racing/Stillen 6 piston front brake kit If anyone has anything please do let me know. Thanks, Rich
  14. Yes i know Craig, only a little mind you. He helped me get a good US client into Paul walkers old R34. The colour seems to be quite a talking point at the minute, as Craig gave a colour which is listed on his site as being the colour. Just Driven also painted the car in that particular colour, however an owner of a very serious replica has stated that the hero 3 (from memory) car that he bought is not the same colour as his replica which is painted the colour Craig said it to be. This seems to have put a little cat amongst the Pidgeon's as they say. So i am trying to confirm who is right and what the actual colour is!
  15. Thanks very much mate. It is hard to know for sure, we hope to have it over for the paint in around two weeks, and whilst it is in for paint we can be gathering up various other parts that we know we need. I think realistically we should have the car out at a few shows next summer all being well, but i said that about our Evo 5 build for this year, and that will likely be next year rather than this year sadly. We are doing some youtube video episodes so will be posting them up soon too.
  16. Thanks to GlennK & Paul Cheshire we now have a V160 box & a full manual conversion kit for the car.
  17. As you can see, we have finally started! The car was started on Monday in terms of strip down, and around other jobs ongoing too we have got this far. Engine & box should be out by the end of the day today, then its stripping the rest of the engine bay area out, cleaning the engine bay/shell and then we can trial fit the kit before the shell goes to paint. The engine will be going to Paul Cheshire for strip & rebuild. Also working in the background to source more parts.
