  1. Thanks Ian - you have more pm
  2. Ok - have been bpu for a couple of years now but just got the car back from a full service where I had the correct sie restrictor but in, so the car will now hit 1.2 bar where before it was struggling to get 1.0. So to the problem - I have an emanage running a bypass map but in the cold weather I am now getting fuel cut in 5th and 6th gear - I was told that the e manage would remove the fuel cut ? Any help appreciated... Ian C... Thanks Jason
  3. I use Ultimate as I have a BP near by and have to say I found it better than the Tesco 99 and as good as optimax - which I used for about a year before moving. The optimax does seem to be less consistant in its quality

    HKS Cams

Ian have you 256/264 then ?
  5. Evo tested them a couple of months ago - both are very good.

    HKS Cams

Apart from using all the money up from the orange car? I spoke to CW about this - he said a pair of 264's for the track would be nice at the top end.
  7. When you say Greddy - do you mean e manage ? And will I need a fitted wideband or can one be shoved up the tail pipe ? BTW - thanks for the dash kit

    Half Roll Cage

I think Paul Whiffin does these. see traders
  9. Go see CW - you will not be disapointed.
  10. I think you would be better off putting it in the second cat position, as the first one is only necessary when the car first starts. As I understand it the car will pass emissions with the second cat as long as it is warm.

    more scum bags

I used to work in Pitsea - make you proud to be british
  12. When I wrote off my bmw I argued with Admiral for about 6 mths untill I got a reasonable offer. They really are a bunch of f**king c**ts !
  13. V. nice - similar to mine - but mines a black car
  14. £1250 as Chris posted - I think its pretty good value considering the time spent on the fitting and the geometry. Any set of coilovers is going to cost more and I think for most people once you get them set just right you're never going to change them anyway. At least with Chris' stuff you know the ride height, spring rates, damping and geo are all matched, and most importantly optimised for the shitty british roads.
  15. Just had mine done by CW - feels better - but did'nt feel too bad before.
  16. I was just about to ask a similar question (prob for Ian C ) I just got the car back from a full service - it seems like it may be running a little rich - am I right in thinking that the stock ecu does this in order to keep the temps down and the cats cool ? Since I am de catted is it possible/sensible/beneficial to trim the fueling back to improve top end performance (I have an e-manage fitted at the mo but set to zero) Thanks
  17. Just got back from Chris' place in Shropshire. Had a full service, fast road suspension and geometry and a CW SMIC fitted. To be fare the old suspension according to Chris was well past its best as was the smic, but the handling has been transformed - it really does feel like a different car. Goes a bit better too Very pleased and wouldn't hesitate to recomend Chris if anyone is thinking of upgrading their suspension - or needs a service
  18. Looks really nice so far. Kind of Maseratti-ish.

    window tinting

Mine were done via a mechanic friend but I think he uses the same guy. Very good job. - Mine look really dark
  20. Breakfast - Its nearly time for lunch...
  21. Feeling smug at this point as with a bit of luck my car is on the ramp under Chris' expert hand as I type.
  22. Just looked in your garage - that is so nice. BTW how do you find the seats for long trips in terms of comfort ?
  23. So the million dollar question is how did it affect acceleration, braking, ride quality, corner grip/speed ?
