I have the black plastic thing on the back of the car at the mo. but am probably going to remove it, to fit a new number plate. Does anyone have the dimensions needed for the rear plate to cover the holes which I understand are under this plastic thing? Thanks

Lets remember that 500 odd bhp is still high powered in a real car. Terry, Ian C etc all seem to suffer wheel spin in first, second and even in third gear with the 67's. 800bhp would probably be slower than 600bhp on the roar even if they spooled up the same.

Here are the pics, the boot build fits into the boot and can be removed easily. The sub is mounted in a sealed box 18mm MDF glued air tight and screwed. The 2 pieces on the L hand side are to hold the amp, and a cover so it cant be seen. There is an alpine 6 disc changer which I was planning to keep although this can be sold as well if anyone wants it. There would therefor be room to mount a second amp to drive the speakers in the passenger compartment if you so wish. I am obviously not expecting to get anywhere near, but the whole install, not including the amp and sub cost me in excess of 1k Although I think I may have paid over the odds!!

Yep BPU so I guess it is to be expected, runs fine.

Launched the car hard the other day and spun the wheels for about 30 meters pedal half down revs at about 5k there was a loud pop/bang from the exhaust. Is this anything to worry about? or just because the ecu is playing with the ignition?

I have removed a boot build from my sup which housed a 10" alpine r type sub and a m350 mono digital amp. This produced nice tight deep bass, but as I dont drive the car much and intend to track it when funds allow I am removing the sub to save weight. So I have the sub and amp both retail at £110 (£220 total) You can also have the boot build if you want it it slots into the car and leaves you with a shallower boot area. Sensible offers if anyone is interested.

I am bpu, once I get my wideband and new o2 sensor fitted I will be going up to see Ian C to get my e manage massaged.

A friend of mine used to import these a few years back, they actually worked well on na cars as the impeller on the filter sucks air in a vortex and improves air flow into the engine at lower revs, think it just helped drivability a little. They did stop selling them though... now I come to think about it
